They have signed our luck but replaced OG and deflection for Disallow Goal for Opposition and Offside Goal
Alan Smith's defence of the linesman was poor too. Talking about how they're having to get used to the new rule and how it wouldn't have been offside last season. The rule was simply an attempt to clarify and improve on the definition of "in-play" from the previous offside rule, it should've been called offside back then too. Missed that first one though, I guess that was in the first 5 minutes, before I'd tuned in. Shame for Bournemouth, they started brightly.
Coutinho's been really good. Admirable from Howe to go with 2 up top but after a bright start they've struggled. If they can get an extra midfielder in there they can take control, Liverpool's midfield haven't been able to stop Bournemouth's attacks(the same is true for Liverpool's attacks) and up until the goal they were able to get to the final third with every attack. A bit of control in midfield could make a big difference.
My goodness Barca look like men possessed! Given up watching referees gift liverpool their annual quota of 23 points that never were. I'd recommend switching over to the Super Cup - it's been a mental opening 10 minutes.
Another bad decision. Linesman gives a handball on the edge of the area for a ball that riccochets at pointblank ranks to a player's arm in a natural position. After a soft disallowed goal, blatant offside and 2 decent penalty shouts being turned down, all going in favour of Liverpool there are no prizes guessing which team got that decision.
Okay, two games into the new season. Arsenal gifted a win via a blatant sending off they should have suffered but didn’t. Bournemouth vs. Liverpool seems to be one of the great robberies of all time. While I’m at it I’ll mention that while Alderweireld definitely deserved to give up the pen, there was also a pretty blatant dive that followed the grab. All we or anyone else mention was the pen. Switch sides, what are the odds the ref doesn’t call the pen, and everyone including us only talk about the dive? I really want to put my tin hat on this year and try to keep track of who gets gifted what by refs. But that would involve work.
If a tree falls in the forest, but nobody is around, does the referee still award Liverpool a free kick for it?
Welcome to the Premier League, Bournemouth. You're not allowed to win at Anfield, didn't anyone tell you? Great performance from their fans and their team gave it a good go but there's only so much you can do when so many bad decisions go against you.
Just start a 'ref watch' article and let the shenanigans begin. It will have a lot of debate I should think. would like to know how incompetent they are.
Disgusting officiating at Klanfield. Seen more than many a Pool biased display before now and this one will not be the last. Tough on Bournemouth, they deserved at least a point and possibly all three.
Ok, so your 12th man in black denied Bournemouth a goal and awarded you one that was offside. Congrats! We obviously don't pay them enough!
