Hi Stoke fans, I as most fans do was blinded by being a Sunderland fan and went for a few of our defenders in my fantasy football team - this worked out well. I'm looking at getting some of your defenders in and Muniesa caught my eye. Is he going to play regularly for you guys until Shawcross is back? What's the situation with your back 4? Very jealous of your Shaqiri signing, you guys look like you are going to have a good season.
We will see! He is likely to play along with Johnson, but our back 4 has not been as consistent as it should in recent seasons and is rotated.
Yeah I did seem to remember that Hughes rotates your defenders a lot. Is that generally based on form and opposition or forced by injuries?
I don't think he's much for Wilson and obviously Huth has now gone and Shawx is injured. They were 3 fixed starters previously!
I would like to see Cameron and Muniesa as the regular centre backs from those we have available. If Shawcross can get back to his previous level then he will replace Cameron. Ideally I would like to see a new quality centre back brought in , but I am a fan of Cameron. Wilson and Wollscheid are not up to it.
I think the problem is a decent proven CB is a good 6-8 million and we just let Huth go for 3? I don't rate Wollscheid and Wilson is more of a defensive midfielder than an outright defender. So we definitely need one but can probably scrape by.
