He's no Sakho or Lovren, but I suppose you get what you pay for

Trying to recall any other CB's that have moved from La liga to prem and how they've done.

Only one can think of is Gabriel that's gone to arsenal and barely played.

There was a fellow who moved to United who didn't turn out too bad, plays for some team called Barcelona now :emoticon-0100-smile

Stones looks quality but if we're seriously considering forking out £35m on a CB, I would prefer they spent it on an expwrienced leader in Otamendi.

That performed in the prem I meant.

Many attackers say that prem defenders are more physical where as Spanish league defenders are technically better. That's why curious if there are any that have crossed over and been successful.

Ahh, so they wasted money on Navas and Cassila and got rid of Cassilas so they could wait a year to give de Gea a £12m tempter.
Got it <ok>

Well I guess they were trying to sign him now hence the low bids vut as you guys aren't budging for anything was than WR fee it seems, maybe they've changed their target.

And they signed Navas last year

Good point I cant think of any. Salgado is the only one that comes to mind but his best years were well and truly behind him.

To be honest Bisc, I can't think of any that have played regularly <ok>

Demichelles is only one can think of although he played in Germany a lot which is similar.

Think the type of defending in the Spanish and Englishwaguea are very different so would be a big gamble to spend that kind of money on someone.

Surprised nether of you city of Chelsea have gone in for hunmells

We did, the blunt answer was no.
