**** off are they. Wenger will come out and say if the team haven't performed. Maureen will squirm for any sort of excuse no matter how bizarre. And don't give me this bollocks about him doing it on purpose to try and deflect criticism from his players, it doesn't work. In fact he basically said his captain wasn't good enough today when he subbed him, when he could have protected him by saying he'd picked up a knock. If anything, Maureen undermines himself and his players when he comes out with **** he does after a crap result.
Any goons want to say with confidence they will truly put Mourinho and chelsea in their place by finishing above them come the business end of the season? So far I have read Mouirnho has lost the dressing room, he is cracking up, he is going to resign.......all bollocks. I have a real dislike for Chelsea as a club but Mouirnho I respect as a manager and he simply won't underperform to a level that allows the goons to finish ahead in the league.
What is it with these Chelspur fans coming out to defend Maureen ? Is it because they know Spurs are nowhere near Arsenal that, like HIAG they have to form an allegiance with Chelsea instead ?
"We wouldn't have conceded three goals with John Terry on the pitch." That's what he should have said.
If Rodgers can finish above Mourhino so can Wenger. The only person stopping Arsenal finishing above Chelsea is Wenger (not Mourhino) but I think the tide may just be turning there.
But then he would have opened himself up to scrutiny. Better to blame the players. There's nobody else left to blame tbh.
It took a brave man to say that Treble But jesting aside, City are going to win the title, but you may be correct in what you said previous, that the teams below are in a tight pack, but I disagree about what's stopping Wenger finishing above Mourinho. The only way Wenger will lead the goons to finish ahead of Chelsea, is if Jose really does crack up and have a complete **** up of a season. The season Liverpool finished ahead of Chelsea was a season that Chelsea weren't title contenders, by Mourinhos own admission.
Wenger talks a load of old ****e in all of his press conferences, except for the ones when you've won comfortably. Then he acts like a smug twat, instead. Example today: Should Coquelin have been sent off? Him: No and I didn't see the incident. Your whole board: Bloody lucky. Should've gone. Who's lying? Your fellow Arsenal fans or your hero? Mourinho says anything at all to distract from performances and players. He's done it today by attracting the attention to his bullshit statements. You're suggesting that he should've been even more of a bullshitter by lying about an injury, when the move was tactical. How is Wenger's approach of either lying completely or blaming his own players better?
Even putting aside the fact that Maureen is a **** for a moment. His tactics were piss poor today. Subbing his Captain and most consistent CB, to then go and concede two more goals in the 2nd half, was a dumb move. Also he made another substitution right before a set piece which led to City's 2nd goal, schoolboy error. By the end, when he had Cuadrado and Falcao on the pitch, he looked like a man who had run out of ideas.
it did make me feel dirty tbh! With regard to the last bit. That's a bit like saying we didnt look like title contenders from 04 to 06 (which we didnt. As much as chelsea didnt look like contenders in 06-07 we certainly did. We would have beaten CFC that season into second even if they were tbh.
Or as Souness said, he's telling the gangster he needs to buy. Under Maureen, Terry has played every minute of 175 of 177 games. He missed some minutes getting sent off v Spurs and then again today. He was making a point - dramatically.
Bullshit. Maureen's tactical move simply showed what a **** decision it was. If he wanted to deflect criticism from his players (i.e. Terry) then he should have said he he'd picked up a knock, rather than saying he wasn't up to the job. How is that distracting from the performance of his players ? His bizarre excuses do nothing to distract from Chelsea's poor performances, they simply ramp up the focus on the whole club, because the team have performed poorly and the manger is drawing attention from the media for acting like a clown. As for Wenger, he will come out and say if the players haven't performed. He will say if the team were below par and whether individual performances weren't up to the required standard. As for the Coquelin incident, he said that the first yellow wasn't a booking. Personally I thought Coq was lucky not to see red in the context of the game, but I agree that the first yellow was harsh. Nobody is lying, that's you trying to put a BS spin on it. Finally, why are you so eager to defend Maureen ?
Anyway, let's not get distracted from letting CFC of the hook here. He's gone into hiding after he was asked some very straightforward questions about Maureen's comments today. (1) How does he explain Maureen's comments about being the better team in the 2nd half equate, when they conceded twice as many goals as they did in the first ? (2) How does Maureen's comment 'we had not one single problem in the 2nd half' explain the fact that they conceded two goals ? (3) How does Maureen's comment 'we dominated' equate, when it took Chelsea until the 70th minute to even have a shot on target ?
How is calling Mourinho a bullshitter that uses the press to distract from poor performances defending him? If people like you didn't go along with his twattery and focus on that, then it wouldn't work. You're doing exactly what he wants people to do and then moaning about him doing it. Wenger blames everyone but himself. He's happy to publicly point the finger at his players, which I'm sure they all love. The defence wasn't good enough, the keeper made mistakes, the strike should've scored... What about his mistakes? Where's the focus on his own deficiencies? He's in charge. He's ultimately responsible. If they're not good enough, then it's down to him. He'll also focus on any mistakes that officials make against his side, but either deny outright one that go in his favour or claim not to have seen them. He somehow did both today, somewhat bizarrely. Coquelin shouldn't have been sent off, but he didn't see it properly. If that was the other way round, then you can be damn sure that he'd have seen it.
Utter tripe. Maureen's 'distracting tactics' don't work. They simply draw more attention instead of deflecting it and they make him look like a twat in the process. You try to chastise Wenger for being disingenuous about his teams' performances and in the next breath try to chastise him for being honest about his teams' performances Make your mind up.
