Stats tell u the story tho to honest!

Would u prefer a striker running round and not scoring or one which bangs goals week in week out ...

    I know what I want!

Last season wasn't so good for Lambert because a) he played differently and b) teams doubled up/marked him extra tightly because they knew the damage he could cause, so other players scored more.

I would prefer a striker who can set up a goal as well as score one. Lambert is more intelligent a player now and is more ready for the Championship now than he has ever been, in my opinion. As N A R A so rightly said, Lambert took more pressure and other players got among the goals. We didn't have a problem scoring last season, in fact we scored one more goal than we did the season before but they were shared around better with Rickie providing as well as scoring. If Lambert was playing below par then he wouldn't have been included in every match he was fit for.

Lambert did score 21 goals last year, by the way.

Totally agree mate. I just found out that the players who made the most assists in the league last season were Lallana and Lambert (joint on 11). Also, Rickie was a bit unlucky because he hit the woodwork 8 times!

My view (like many others here) is that we have a very good squad and if we were to make just the one signing (Jack Cork) then I would still be very confident that we can do well next season.

Just thought i would bring this back up as i originally sated on here not sure what people wanted every one seemed happy with 2 signings and mid table now that we have made 3 signings people are still saying we need a centre back and a striker and talking about promotion, was i right all along. LOL

We have also lost players so opinions change! You wasnt right.

It would be good if we signed a CB and a striker but wouldnt be too concerned if we didnt

    De Ridder replaces Oxo
Cork was a quality signing to bolster competition in center and possible CB cover if required
Fox i dont think we needed tbh
