and nobody posts, that speaks volume. What a terrific point away against a club that is pushing for champs league. Not a very good performance first half but boy was it good second half, we really are mixing it with the big boys. We have massive players to come in too.

A great second half performance from the lads , and especially Mr. Ireland. It showed that they have the never say die character that is needed if we are to be a top six/eight side.
The travelling Stoke fans were rewarded for their support and will be pleased.
Norwich next. COME ON YOU POTTERS !

You are the self confessed biggest Stoke megafan in the universe...why didn't you post. Nope you have a snipe at everybody else who didn't.

Anyway a fantastic comeback amd a grest way to kick off the season.

Great point away but it sounds like in the first half we were over run. I recall someone saying last season that Mark Hughes teams can take a while to settle down so here's hoping they gel soon.

What's with the snippiness Ricc? No need.

You are NOT a proper fan KKB, nor am I!

I think that combined we have been Stokies for well over 100 years.

Hey ho...the vagracies of youth eh :)

It's tough to come down from 2 goals away from, especially against a top 6 club even though they weren't at the best - but either were we. Any point in the prem is a good result.

I'm always a little aprehensive in the first few weeks of a season under Hughes as he often doesn't seem to settle on the best eleven and I see little difference thus season. As Ricc says we still have players to come back or integrate but with the likes of Walters still running around it doesn't reflect the progress we have made.

SJW has been the most underated player since he joined.

He is not the Messi/Ronaldo/Bojan type but he IS 100% heart, effort and goals.

A good point away specially as listening to the game in the first half it looked like we would be lucky to end up with nil, still think we need another good centre back because if we leave it like it is and wait for Shawcross we could be in deep doodah by time he is.

JM...you cannot say that or criticise in any fashion the Stoke hierarchy.

You are NOT a proper fan

Oops sorry forgot to add a :)

Still has a part to play, in my opinion.

Same as Crouch these days...plan B or C perhaps?

I refer the honourable gentleman to my avatar which is painted on a north facing wall of my dining room.
to say that I am not a Stoke fan is pure Northampton.

I agree, I think it might be 8 games until he knows his best 11 because of so many new faces, I thought we were poor first half but in the second half I thought we were fantastic..I hope nobody took the first part of my thread too seriously as it was only meant to wind Nicky up, and it looks like it worked a treat lol

spot on, our fans were brilliant, it sounded like there was 15000 stokies there. Ireland, Butland and Arnie were the best players for me
