Unbeaten so far this season in 180 minutes of normal time plus extra time, the first game against a newly relegated side, the second game away from home against a Yorkshire rival where we played over half the game with 10 men Bit early for doom and gloom, think we'll have a good season
Stop been so negative. At least you've seen Leeds do well in your lifetime. The biggest thing Leeds have won since I've followed football is promotion from ****ing League 1.
It's when you know what we used to be that it hurts... Might not live long enough to see us make the big time again at the current rate of progress.
Not for me we have the basics right now and lets face it nobody will run away with it this season so why not be optimistic thats why I am still about!
Two teams will eventually put a 15+ undefeated run together. Hand on heart Can't see it been anyone other than Derby and boro.
I've had the misfortune of seeing a couple of other Championship games so far this season and the quality is very poor. QPR v Cardiff last night for example. It's all relative. We won't have to be outstandingly good to be there or thereabouts this season. The Leeds Burnley game was by far the highest standard I've seen this season.
My theory is that you like being contrary, mostly to stimulate debate - so the endless gurning means we're really not a bad side at all. If you suddenly start to get all positive, thats when we need to start worrying. As for Cook, clear red. 0-1 will do today, Wood to score with his ar&e.
Davy you win a prize.... Well spotted. I don't spend the hundreds/ thousands I spend wanting us to lose. I said 8th before the season started. Now 8th would be the best we can do IMO. Anywhere between there an 16th is where we will finish.
8th would represent good progress, and I'd take it as a platform to build on, though it'd be nice to do slightly better and be in the mix. 15th would be a step backwards given the investment and improved stability behind the scenes, and would mean we'd have another new manager.
Can't see Murphy starting Elland, as he's too important to risk picking a stress injury as a result of coming back too quickly. I can see us playing 442 with Adeyemi & Mowatt in the centre and Dallas/Byram out wide. What ever team Rosler picks, I just hope we continue to play good footy, create plenty of chaces, & hopefully get home with a 1-0 win or better
I think it'll take a few games for Clement to get the hang of it but I would've definitely had him here (actually been suggesting him for a good couple years). I expect them to do well, Derby maybe isn't the easiest job to succeed at this season being favourites for promotion and them having failed to deliver for some years now.
So the general consensus is well finish between 8th and 15th. Why the depressing predictions after one feckin game of the season. Heres a new idea for some, try enjoying at least the first half of the season. I thought this footie lark was supposed to be enjoyable, at least some of the time
I think we might actually make top 6. But we do need to get something from games like this today, and then win our home games. But time will tell.
