Good Luck <ok>

Dettori rarely rides for Stoute but has the leg up on Islington's daughter Canonbury in the first at Newbury. Although she's produced winners one has to say she's not been a success as a broodmare. Maybe this will be the first good one.

2 things I have to have Moan about for tomorrow is a) the ground - I know we can't do a lot with it but the fields will be wilted down to some soft loving horses and the true quality will not be there 2) why is Pallasator running surely he has the Ebor All over him yes he would be carrying a weight and a half but he is a huge horse who would deal with it and and surely he won't run next week as well but his run at goodwood a couple of weeks ago would have set him up nicely for surely a bigger pot in the Ebor!!!

So with that moan in 2.35 Newbury - Romsdal - a major drop back in grade for him tomorrow IMO he should be a 6/4 shot not 2/1 so there is a bit of value in him ran well last yr in the Derby and st.leger and had ran well in th king George so this looks a lot easier and won't mind the soft ground and should have too much

Think there might be a couple of errors in this. Otherwise that looks like a nice price double to have

Agree, Romsdal should be winning.

Think Romsdal might be worth opposing at the price really. 3rd in the King George sounds nice but he was 4L behind Postponed- not Frankel.

One that stands out given the conditions is WINDSHEAR 10/1 whose form on soft reads 1115, the blip being at Chester which is a track that wouldn't have suited a big galloping horse like this.

Newbury will suit and I think he'll go close, so at the odds looks more interesting.

Would have been interested to see how Squire would have taken to soft ground tomorrow Stick- how is the fella?

3.45 Newbury MARKAZ 14/1 e.w looked intriguing. Relished 7f last time out and had nice form before that, so continued improvement would see it bang there.

Quite like Breton Rock 5/1 In that 3.45 TC. 7 wins and all with soft In the description. He will be doing his best work staying on through when some are floundering. He will have to show some of last year's spark though to take it.

Dexter will be raising a glass tonight as Bilbao have just routed Barcelona at San Mamès 4-0 in their 1st leg of the Super Cup.

Pat Cosgrave has won 3 of his last 7 rides at decent odds. Will that in mind I'm going to follow him on Saturday on a few of his longer priced rides.
3.10 Newbury LIBERTY JACK 20-1
3.45 Newbury THAT IS THE SPIRIT 20-1
6.00 Lingfield ART COLLECTION 14-1
6.35 Lingfield WHAT A DANDY 12-1
Singles on all and accumulators with Dunfermline, PSG, Ajax and Liverpool.

The bet of the year comes in. Tiger Woods to miss the cut at 11-8. So sad that Sky feel they have to show most of his shots still. [HASHTAG]#jasondaytowin[/HASHTAG]

Get your dosh on Jason Day lads or lay the absolute ****e out of bottle job Dustin Johnston. Either way, you're quids in Sunday night! Good luck

Got loads of money on day and Johnson but have to agree that day is the likely winner. Taken some of the 6-1 currently on Justin rose too. Incredible that given the 100 odd golfers who are in contention all year (with the exceprion of Zach) it's been the speith, day, dustin and rose show all year. These 4 have been up there in all 4 majors. Incredible consistency.

As far as I am concerned there is only one thing to do tomorrow which is simply watch the racing without risking money. The moment the ground turns soft the recent form book means nothing whatsoever, and even if you know a horse has from on soft you still do not know it is in form.

This said I agree totally with Badger Romsdal looks an absolute banker at 2-1.

He's still got 5 holes to play and the cut could be 1 or 2 over so you never know he could sneak in

Morning all,
Off to lingfield with a coach load of ladies from my yard this evening. Whilst they are very knowledgable about horses, they tend to like the pretty ones. It's down to me to mark their cards, so I need your help. I off riding and by the time I get back, as many winners as you like. Smokey a nice 25/1 shot like last week would be nice.
Cheers.
