No, but then I;'ve never stood sentry at a gas chamber, or stripped Iraqis and put them on a lead and photographed them in Iraqi prisons either.

But go on tell me 'you don't know man, you weren't there'.
Never been in the forces, but I would say to that, unless you can imagine what they have been through and seen, you have no room to comment.

No i have not. But 4tours of ireland. And 1in iraq. Kind of says you sit at home putting in a tampax every month.

I love the armed forces , brave (or stupid) lads doing dangerous **** so i can sup a beer in the sun on a friday afternoon. Very much under appreciated, under paid and disrespected. We live close to a military base (4 hours or so) and the hotels give serving service men 30- 50% discount most of the year, if i see one in the boozer always without fail buy them a beer.

The yanks go a little bit over the top , but ****ing hell do they respect Vets. Top notch medical care, discounts in shops etc etc etc.

regards strength not a scooby , my mate in the paras reckons best in the world man for man but we dont have the size anymore.

Might be worth Wikking Tommy Atkins for an insight into the Armed Forces who have always been at the mercy of the politicians (and generals) since Britain raised a standing army.

like everything tho innit!!! Minority not the majority.
Precisely. It's only the bad eggs that grab the headlines, like any walk of life.

Predictable. So why were you in Ireland etc? Did they welcome you with open arms? Also care to tell me more about what I have or have not experienced in my life?
if that was a joke bad taste , if its your honest opinion **** YOU
Where's the joke? It's bad taste to suggest that that was a joke.
