I'm surprised he played at all! I wonder if he informed the club about his loss...it doesn't sound like it. That kind of loss is very hard to deal with for anyone but maybe he wanted to play to help forget about the situation....and maybe it didn't work so going on a bender was his last resort! And I don't blame him for doing so....his head must have been all over the place! If he wasn't playing and did take coke then he'd be looking at a much shorter ban! So if the club did know about his loss why did they let him play? The FA and City need to do the right thing here in any case.

As a parent the idea of losing a child is the biggest fear you have and I can't even start to think about how I'd deal with it so for that alone Jake is forgiven and should be welcomed back to the team and given all the help he requires.

On the evidence that is being put forward I would obviously support Jake Livermore, I truly hope that he goes on to prove that I, along with others, weren't misguided.
