I am very surprised how quiet it has gone on the Jake Livermore front. Does anyone know what the current situation is with him?

When will he have a hearing and a punishment/ban handed out?

How long is it this likely to be?

Are we still paying his wages?

Is he still training with the squad?

Any sightings of him at games or at anything related to the club?

He has also gone quiet on his Twitter as well.

Certainly not been training with the squad or sighted at any games. Remember Bruce saying he hadn't spoken to him since it all happened but he was going to call him a few weeks ago

I hate to come across as insensitive, however if his head wasn't right after the loss of a family member (which lead to him taking cocaine), surely he shouldn't have played against Crystal Palace?

Wonder if Brucey kept him the team to 'keep his mind off it' or to try and stop him going off the rails (doesnt look like it was very successful) when he was playing ****e.

If he was suffering depression as the mail speculates, we've hd that debate before, it's a strange illness. The inflicteds mental state can change in a heartbeat. They can have good days, bad days and normal days. He could have been alright that day.

You really don't know if he even told anyone. It must have been a really awful time for him. Losing a baby is tragic, they'll have to make special note of the Robert Enke case as we don't want to see anything happen like that again.

I can't imagine the topic of infant death is a welcome topic of discussion in the dressing room. Poor Jake. I was angry with him when first learning of his failed drug test, but as someone who also, foolishly, tried to raise my spirits with cocaine when depressed I am now sympathetic.

Depression is a terrible thing. Would explain his loss of form.

I'd also have to call out the clubs decision to cut him adrift as a bit ****ty if true. To be honest I thought it a bit **** before this story broke.

But of course we don't know what support the they offered him prior to this.

Took it on a night out. I wonder who with?

A baby's death is a tragedy. Taking cocaine is a ****s trick for a pro athlete. Give him a two year ban like we should and then rehabilitate him into the team on a reduced wage.

Don't really get how taking cocaine can be seen as a recourse after losing a child . Seems a strange choice to me .

I was surprised when Bruce said that he'd left him for most of the summer. The most important thing is that he gets fit and healthy again and sometimes it does take time
