Blue? Not a 17 litre purple job? :D

Btw, I would seriously recommend not buying a new car. If you're free for a pint, I'll explain.

I know financially buying new ain't clever and the first mile you drive is the most expensive. But there is nothing like the smell and feel of a brand new car. Too busy for meeting up ATM. Loads of work on, running various training courses so writing course content the next couple of weeks. Hence being up at this time!

Have a funeral to go to next Wednesday so that's meant I have lost a planning day.. No rest for the wicked.

That nice smell will cost you 50% of the car's value. A Class? Let's be generous & say it only costs £20k. That's £10k for the smell! You absolutely sure?

A few years ago I bought a 3yo E Class for £17k. 14k miles on the clock, showroom price £35k new. Wasn't even run in. Had that smell you're talking about. It's available in a aerosol & doesn't cost £10k. Are you really sure you want to spend £10k+ on a smell. I'm sure the wife would kill you if you spent that money on a bottle of perfume for her.

I would also suggest you check out this outfit for servicing & repairs ... http://intune-car-services-harrogate.co.uk/

I deserve a new car and i will buy a new car... It's tax deductible....

OK, so it's tax deductible. Do you know what that means? Using the £20k cost example above, it means you save ~£4k in tax payments. Still £6k for a smell!

Just think what you could do with £6k - you could buy 6 players for the Wallies! :D

And don't assume you can take on the VAT man. You will lose. Very few people take them on & win. I actually did with a caravan, believe it or not.

It's my money and I am fecked if I am leaving it to the kids...... Feck em.
Your figures are flawed by the way I haven't lost that % of the price on a vehicle I have had from new for two years.
But I do take the point you make... My choice.

£6k could keep Shaks in cider for a fortnight! :D
