Sincerely hope so. Berahino signing will complete the cheer-us-up process so kindly started by arsenal yesterday.

Berahino would be a great signing but out of the strikers at WBA, Ideye is the one they would prefer to sell but Berahino is the one that will leave, either this year or next summer, Pulis discussed Berahino should stay for one more year which means he will likely be sold this summer.

  4. Yes, we're above Arsenal in the table, and I'd like to keep it that way.

I had mixed feelings about the Arsenal result yesterday as I had an 8 team accumulator. The first 7 all won and a potential 260 quid coming in provided the Arse won yesterday.

Well that'll teach you not to put money on Arsenal winning

  7. No one saw Arsenal losing, not at home against West Ham.

I wonder how much money I'd have to bet on Arsenal for them to lose. Surely my life savings would do the trick.

According to Sky sports we are in talks with Lyon about the transfer of Clinton N'jie. Admittedly I don't know much about him but given our lack of options I'd take anything up front right now!
A double signing of him and Berahino and Adebayor out the door and i'd be very happy!

Former Manchester United keeper Mark Bosnich has told Talksport that Reds manager Louis van Gaal should sign Spurs goalkeeperHugo Lloris rather than Ajax's Jasper Cillessen.

"I think Cillessen did ok at the World Cup, but he's not one who stands out in terms of being dominant," said the Australian.

"The English Premier League is definitely the most physically demanding in the world and it takes foreign players quite a while to adjust to that. We saw during [David] De Gea's first season, it was a bit of a struggle. Lloris knows the Premier League inside out and he's had success."

He had a good game and appears to have a great mentality. I wonder if he would have stayed under Pochettino's watch.

Let's hope we haven't missed out of the next Ledley.

Reading through the article in last night's Evng Standard, IF what they're saying has any basis, it seems that at least M.P. recognises that he needs to inject far more pace into our attack.

    Meh... We have Carter-Vickers :)

In all seriousness, does anyone else think the media have really over-hyped the poor kid. I mean his debut was impressive, I watched the game and he looked like a player with a lot of experience in his position but one game in and suddenly some media sources are talking about him being the new Rio and seem to think we should be devastated by rejecting him as if as though we've missed out on the player of the century.

I've no doubt that if he plays like he did against Arsenal in more of his games he'll become a star but give the kid a bit of breathing space before putting too much pressure on his shoulders.

Now Schmeichel has chimed in on Lloris to Utd, agreeing with Bosnich.
I think van der Sar and Taibi are next up.

Cabaye and Richards are already looking like very good signings. Why didn't any of the top clubs look at signing them?

De Gea is set to stay this season. And then there's Valdes, Romero, Lindegaard and Johnstone. How may keepers does he need?
