You should have hired Sherwood, mistake going for the nice quiet guy in Ramsey. But Mark Hughes is doing a fine job at Stoke and Redknapp had 4 great years with us before he went to QPR, but both crap at QPR in the premier league and as Redknapp has taken West Ham/Pompey and Spurs to their highest premier league finishes and Hughes has taken Stoke to their highest premier league finish, then maybe they weren't the issue, it was more that QPR just aren't set-up to be a premier league club, regardless of who is manager. Still, I agree Ramsey is ****!
Probably right but the current crop has costs us sweet FA, as opposed to Redknapps crystal ball stuff.
. If you can find a seconder let's put it to the vote. After all that is what you rail on about everytime you feel victimised. It's a democratic forum in which its members exercise their rights to freedom of opinion, expression and to choose what they want to read. Lots on here like soundbites and Twitter. I don't. Each to their own. Just cos' you have a low attention span doesn't mean that others who do want to read it should be deprived You know well that you'll find that a call to boycott your own one line rants about it will get almost unanimous support so give it a rest and chill out.
Much like a certain Mr Barton a 'marmite' man. Not sure about his character, but after reading his autobiography, I admire his craft. Trying to manage communication at the highest level must have been nigh on impossible.
Just watched highlights, highlights being the keyword here and have to say the Charlton match looked balanced My boy was right that Mackie looked good Second goal looked rough as Phillips looked to be out of position IMO and Fox was invited to shoot and it went in Both goals on another day would have been saved by Green As a start with a new team what was shown our passing looked crisp and our breakaways about 5 times quicker than last year something CR must have got into these players Nowt to complain about IMO. The base looks very good … as match fitness comes into play we could be OK
Clive's report echoes exactly what I wrote on the match day thread; Green is woeful, Matt Phillips is the laziest player in our team, Chery and Luongo looked sharp and Mackie's relentless work rate gave us something to cheer about.
You're not wrong If he'd have ended up at West Brom, Pulis would have torn him a new one, The half arsed attempts at tracking back and leaving Perch with 2 on 1's would have resulted in the hair dryer treatment.
Found this about the result of the knee jerk http://www.thedailymash.co.uk/sport...e-whole-season-from-first-game-20150810100941 Very very true
Fans do live in the moment unfortunately, but the performances of Green/Phillips didn't tell me anything I didn't already know....
There are also a few who are able to see the bigger picture, and not kick off after one defeat. The majority, as you rightly say, don't have the foresight or logic to be able to see the big picture.
There are plenty that don't bury their heads in the sand and have enough foresight to see where we are headed under Ramsey.
I don't think it's quite the fact that fans don't see the "bigger picture". It's more the fact that most fans are pretty annoyed that we couldn't beat a very average team on the opening day of the season with 3100 fans watching them. The "bigger picture" is actually that it is not Ramsey's first game; he also had a lot of last season and the same problems still occur. We lack creativity in front of goal, we are making poor defensive errors and we have no change of plan when our first doesn't work. If I was any team playing against us, I'd get men behind the ball as quickly as possibly when QPR have it, and when the opposition win it, break forward direct and quickly, because we aren't fit enough or close down quick enough to deal with it. We will be struggling in the bottom half of the league by Christmas, UNLESS, something changes in our play.
I agree with you, wholeheartedly. A good, well written piece. I have had my doubts about Ramsey from day one (ie last season). The fact he had a spell last season does not help him one little bit. Hopefully when we get rid of Austin, Fer & Phillips, we will know what we are playing with.
What's this week's lottery numbers? You must know with that incredible foresight. How about giving the guy a chance? New season, new division, new players. A clean slate is what he needs after last season and he now has that clean slate.
But, with risk of sounding repetitive, this is exactly what makes the Championship such a competitive and great league. Anyone can beat anyone. I'm not so blinkered about QPR to realise this is certainly the case. We lost 4-1 away to a Scunthorpe team a few years back when we won the division. It was our heaviest defeat of that season. Scunny then got relegated. That's good that football is like that....no?
