Surely we can give the ball a whack? 9 wickets left - if we got a move on we could have a 400 lead by lunch.

Absolutely maximum of one hour's batting after lunch please James. Ideally just the 30 mins, but sticking with Smith and Gatting in the batting order would suggest that only 30 more mins is slightly wishful thinking.

A batsman has hit a 100 for us!!

Well done Vincey. Now go into t20 mode please.

It's a big wicket too. Chopra is capable of batting long, as we've already suffered from this season.

Could argue that us, Worcs and Sussex are all in poll position of our respect matches. Given that it would drag Notts and Somerset right back into it - and we still have to play both of them - all three of us going onto win would not be the end of the world for us, as much as we would rather it was just us.

Another very good day for us. It's just a case of fingers crossed now. A full dry day tomorrow, and we win this game with ease. Maybe even before lunch. But alas we're almost certainly not going to get that. So it all comes down to just how much time we do get. More than 26 overs, and we'll get use of a second new ball.

Help please. Trying to think of another player that bowled right handed and batted as a leftie - or vise versa. Stuart broad got me thinking yesterday but im stumped
