This one definitely deserves a thread of its own Totally, confirmation that we are in legal proceedings. I still think a behind closed doors deal will be made, to the fury of other clubs which will want to see us punished in public.
Long and extremely critical piece in the Times about this. While it doesn't bracket Fernandes with the truly malign owners of Birmingham, Newcastle etc, who don't give a toss about their clubs, it characterises Fernandes as an impulsive idiot when it comes to football, who has clearly done more harm than good for the club. Apparantly we have a reputation within the game, and especially amongst agents, for extravagance. No surprise there.
Owners - pay whatever fine is agreed, write off your loans to the club, pay off the bank loans you have incurred on these non existent capital projects, and go. Please. I've had enough.

Hopefully, Mr Bick won't have to much to say on the outcome. His comments are certainly not ambiguous.

Agree with your first paragraph but not your last. I'd prefer them to properly learn their lessons and stay.
Don't have much faith in Mr Bick. His assertion that if QPR challenge the fine, it could be kicked out of the league is contradicted by the FL's own statement. QPR is entitled to challenge the sanctions, but if the arbitration panel goes against us and we don't comply (possibly, even if we are appealing) we could be in trouble.
So we wait for the ruling. Moving forward with other plans will be more difficult now until this is resolved.

Why is it always seems to be us in the mire, we are not a big club but trouble always seems to follow us around, a lot caused by our own downful & a lot made up, god can't wait untill this & manager side of things is sorted & we can get on preparing for new season ahead.
Is this a way of delaying the proceedings against us, so we have time to put a squad together before any potential transfer embargo kicks in, similar to Florists. Delay any purchases until August (or September as we've done in previous windows ) embargo kicks in and we're left with fielding the youth team for the season.

Negotiations have continued all summer between the club and the Football League following QPR's relegation from the Premier League and an independent arbitration panel is due rule on the legality of the rules.
But under the original rules QPR's losses appeared so huge that they could have been fined £58m, meaning a saving of almost £50m will be regarded as a major success for the club and cause friction with other Championship club, who have called for a strict application of the of rules.
However, given that all Football League clubs have since made the rules less restrictive since the original application in 2013-14, it always seemed as though QPR would have a good case for minimising their punishment.
Given that QPR have already earned £9m from Raheem Sterling's £49m move to Manchester City thanks to a sell-on clause and can expect to earn around £25m more if Charlie Austin and Leroy Fer are sold before the end of the transfer window, the club now appear to have stabilised their finances, having also seen big earners such as Rio Ferdinand, Joey Barton and Shaun Wright-Phillips leave over the summer.

Whatever the outcome the sooner it is settled the better and we can then move forward, hopefully with Lee Hoos running things in a wholly professional manner...
Did anyone see the comments from the Brighton chairman on the Beeb site? He wants us punished and punished big time. But of a dick if you ask me.

And was he one of the Chairmen who then voted for the new rules with much smaller fines? It was only when the ridiculously unfair nature of the fines became evident that they were quickly changed. Note that UEFA have totally abandoned FFP, hence Man City's spending spree. It's only a matter of time before someone legally challenges this restraint of trade...
This with bells on. This issue is hanging over the club like a vulture. It sounds like the date for the arbitration hearing is imminent, and the FL are anxious that QPR's arguments over the legality of certain elements of FFP are not tested judicially. Hence the talk of settlement.
