It may have been a one off friendly but it doesn't mean other teams and managers won't have taken notice. You think Arsenal will go back to playing expansive football against Chelsea? No chance.

The beauty about having Mourinho is he can adapt. I very much doubt he'll let that happen again.

Yet the game we were battered in the most last season was at WHL when Spurs went at us. I'm sure other managers looked at that game as well. Didn't stop us going unbeaten till we won the title. It is what it is. A one off game.

I definitely don't think we'll walk it. United, Arsenal and City have strengthened in some capacity and I think it'll be a lot more interesting this season. I just don't think there's anything to be down about as we still have the best squad in the league IMO and we'll only be stronger this season. We could definitely do with a better cover in midfield but who knows if we'll get one.
Just like last season, if Jose DOESN'T start Mikel more than 5 matches in the league - League is ours.

getting right 2 or 3 squad additions will ensure it more.

As this is labelled Off Topic, does that mean we have to move away from the topic of the thread. I'm not sure any of this settles the question of what happened to DL, SW6, Bucks etc

Whatever happened to.... the Chelsea fans? Why do you all keep disappearing after a bad result?

They're hardly here anyway so that's itrelevant. BUT they always turn up when results go in their favour, be it rivals or theirs. And not just on their board. Hey ho, par for the course with the chavs I suppose.

What a knob.

So you like park the bus then. Nice one Noel.

They passed their way through Chelsea so easily it was scary, when do we play them <yikes>
Diego you are one of the sensible guy. Are you sure you support Manu? You've perspective.

Last season opener the same team beat you at OT. They are just better this season.
Ayew is a steal if you had watched ACON or Ligue 1.

I think that muppet we used to have on this board (whose name has deserted me - he had a weird obsession with Liverpool) made everyone leave.
You blaming somebody who left 18 months ago for everyone who left since.
