Van Gaal did say that he was signing a surprise striker. I was surprised as **** that it was Kyle Walker.

I wouldn't be too worried about playing Utd based on that showing. We gifted them the goal, apart from that they created virtually zero. Unfortunately, neither did we!

We looked like a side full of new players. You're exactly the same side as last season. The own goal would have been scored by an inform Rooney anyway so it's a mute point, just unfortunate Walker got the last touch in attempting a clearance.

That wasn't so much the gift, that was Bentaleb's idiotic, lazy pass that kicked the whole thing off. Apart from that it would almost certainly have finished 0-0

It happened a few times, a lazy pass or a player dithering. We didn't capitalise too much today but a few times we win the ball deep in your half, another day and it could have been more.

Yes, and we could and should have been one up early in the game. Dembele was never offside and may have gone on to score! But, in all honesty, neither side deserved three points. One **** up decided the result.

I agree with you on the game but to say it will have any bearing on games we'll go on to play is being a bit premature.

I did say 'based on that showing' Obviously, it's very early days in the season. What was apparent from today's game is that we both need to improve.

You didnt have a finisher today. Not taking anything away from Kane, he looked good imo, I think he's going to go on to have another good season. But time and again the ball came in and nobody was there to finish.

For the most part, defences dominated - neither attack looked particularly threatening. My concern, for us, was that once we go one down and the opposition close up a bit, we look unable to come up with an effective response.

I'm completely opposed to the objectification of women as merely sexual objects for males to lust after.

I make exceptions for sexy women like Eva of course
