It all went wrong with Judaism.

Previously there were loads of Gods, and the more the merrier so worship who you like.

Then there was one true God and all others were false gods.

Only one God but still loads of different religions though. And some a lot more murderous and rapey than others.

Absolutely this^
Religion is not responsible for the lack of peace in the world. People will fight over any number of things, some seek to lend credibility to their behaviour by claiming a superior being has instructed them to do so - simply absolving themselves of responsibility for their own actions.
There are also many people who do good things in the name of religion.

What is done in the name of religion is mostly good. Those are the people at gound level, the vatican on the other hand..

I always say it, religion is interpreted by the individual. If you are racist or homophobic you can bet your religion will be. If you are in favour of violence then your religion will be violent.

If folks are going to blame religion then folks need to start blaming keyboards for racist tweets and pencils for writing ;)

There are people who do not believe in any religion that do very good and better things than those religion nuts.
Some of the pastors preaching is "do as I say, but do not do as I do"

That I can be down with. I am not religious myself. I am a member of the don't be a jerk church. There is only one rule.. Do no harm, that pretty much covers everything that matters.

That's a goof rule to live by <ok>
Religion tends to go beyond that. It isnt enough to do no wrong, you also have to do good.

If we all went about doing no harm (including the state, banks and corporations) that would do a hell of a lot of "good" wouldn't it.

Today we live in a world that does harm to do "good" we are told, like sanctions that were known would kill hundrends of thousands of children. Destroying Libya. All justified with doing good false claims.

It's now OK to cause the deaths of almost 2 million people to date in just over a decade because of false "good" intentions.
There is a definite agenda against Islamic religion. It's classic divide and conquer. After destroying islamic regions, demonise Islam lest your population wake up to what is really going on ;)

The media in the US tell people there are no go 100% Islam places in Britain France and Sweden that police or the courts don't operate in, like Birmingham <laugh> Fox (Faux) News had a "Security analyst" on and he said "Europe is finished" (Islamics have taken it over) <laugh>

Yes, should be enough. Your conscience should be your judge. But some of these churches apart from the traditional ones
we know (Catholic and Anglican) would like to control your life. A pastor in South Africa wants his congregation to go outside
and eat grass before they can have Holy Communion, Also, in South Africa, the millionaire pastor was documented on television
recently.

Mate wtf does any of that have to do with what I posted? You clearly want to push your own agenda rather than engage in any honest debate.

Come on you know what I'm talking about Sisu. What I said isnt about the stuff you're on about, I'm talking about the day to day stuff. What you said about doing no harm was at an individual level. That's what I was getting at also.

People either in power or seeking power. After all, its nothing more than a form of government, just one with very few choices or freedoms.

No idea who invented jahovahs witnesses though. I think its safe to say they were under the influence of crack. Especially after the scientology freaks stole their LSD.

Seriously though, the correct answer is some guy(s)
