It's the Italian way of doing business .... apparentlyHow does that work? Current salary spread over a multi-year contract is a called a pay cut. Or his salary will increase year on year cos they're broke now?

You really really believe that?
This is lfc fans you are talking to. We've sat through Rodgers lieing about carroll.... we have seen this **** a few times where players are not cup tied too.
If you drop the guy and turn to your new guy or a kid for the first game then you are saying de gea is in fact totally unsettled and wanting to leave now. This hands the invite to real to bid.
Real are not paying a stupid fee to you are are willing to wait it out.
In the end it's a real pity for Utd but you have to take the best offer you can get when it comes and if Valdes and lindgaaard are being told to leave then youve got to buy.
It's a pity cos Utd were 2 players from being back... if of course the new guys work.
With respect van Gaal is not Rodgers. He has said since day one with us that no player will start unless he is 100% ready to play, de Gea obviously isn't settled and so will not start. You have to look at the facts here, de Gea has never said he want's to leave and has never put in a transfer request, Madrid have not met the asking price and have already bought Cassila and made Navas their number 1.
None of this looks like a player desperate to leave or a club desperate to buy him, it does however look like a team sewing the seeds for next year to try and get him on a free.
Bottom line: either way Van Gaal has your best player not playing for you now and leaving for either a little sooner or nothing later

With respect when Rodgers lets a top player go we get a record transfer fee

Italian media are reporting that a fee has been agreed, but personal terms with the player are yet to be finalised.
Forza Italian Football explain: “The directors of Fiorentina have asked Borini to spread his current salary over a multi-year contract and are now awaiting the player’s response, who seems very interested in returning to Serie A.”

I was wondering if Balotelli and Enrique will miss him .......... and ........... if they are both still here when the new season starts, will they still be training on their ownSad to see Borini leave. Obviously it's for the best for both club and player, but I wanted him to be a success.
That said - fee agreed but not personal terms? We've been here before.

Nope, sorry but just no. Guys a leech.Sad to see Borini leave. Obviously it's for the best for both club and player, but I wanted him to be a success.

It was clear he had no chance of playing first team after his failed first year and yet he just kept hanging on, even when it was made clear the club wanted to sell. There's commitment to the club and then there is hanging when you're just not wanted anymore.
Bit harsh. He wanted to stay and fight for the first team last year.... We all moan when players show no loyalty (sterling) then moan when a player does show some loyalty and fight.
Feel sorry for him as he should have been given a proper chance last year when we had no Sturridge. He fits better than Lambert and balotelli did.
This is what I mean. I don't think he wanted to stay out of blind loyalty or to really stay and fight for his place, although I do believe he did want to prove he was good enough, he has no real loyalty or connection to LFC. I get the impression that he didn't think the clubs bidding were 'good' enough for him and that he could get a better wage sat on the bench. Fiorentina are a much bigger club than Sunderland and QPR and he'll be offered a similar wage.I agree he shouldve had more of a look in but I dont think he's as loyal as made 0out sometimes
Was itRedknapp at QPR who said they couldnt agree personal terms? Also cant see Sunderland offering as much as he wa s onn here either

I think
A) he was useless cos he could hit the target
B) he was another made of glass.
C) his decisions have been entirely about money. Of course it was about money with sunderland
I think he's hurt his career quite a lot in the past year and we will have to see now if he sinks.
I know liverpools not the most attractive city but Sunderland, c'mon
Liverpool has more parks than any other city of its size and more listed buildings than any city except London, I think I read that somewhere or dreamt it so it must be true.

A) I know after our performances in front of goal last year suggested it, but hitting the target is what a forward is meant to do!
C) would you want to move to Sunderland? I know liverpools not the most attractive city but Sunderland, c'mon
