Liverpool fan on tour. I've seen that some fans go on road trips to visit all the football grounds in England and Wales. Well I'm not quite doing that I'm just going to visit every clubs board and say hello! May even visit Scotland. Wycombe Wanderers were first on the list well done on their promotion. If I'm on your board I'm just saying hello and camping out for a while pop in for a chat.
Lots of threads quite a popular board, I'm glad of that as on the way here it has been a bit quiet at times. How are Watford doing? any chance of a play off spot or even promotion?
Welcome Gonzo So, what do you think Liverpool's chances are of making the top 4 again? I guess it's Arsenal's spot you will target? You happy with the new signings? English players do seem to come at a premium....
Yep, we're a busy board, and rather lovely, even though i say so myself lol Watford are as Watford always are...an emotional roller coaster even before the season starts and hoping to stay up/end up mid table/flirt with the playoffs..delete as applicable when we have a clearer idea come September/October lol
I always believe we can win it at the start of the season that's just my nature. My sensible head says we will challenge top 4. Happy with the signings, not so happy with the price of some of them. Suppose it's wait and see now.
I'm becoming ever more confident that we will eclipse last seasons points total. I could definitely see 70-75 points assuming we get in a left back and another striker as has been discussed, by the board, manager and fans alike. Our squad is going to be a little bigger than last season - I'll refrain from saying better as we need 10 games or so for the new signings to bed in - and we are more experienced for sure. 75pts will likely see top 8, with 70 likely top 10. Both would be improvements on last season. Couple more years and I really think we might be there...we're about to really reap the rewards of a well thought out and executed Academy system! Liverpool will be trying to buy our youngsters in two to three years time, hopefully we'll be in the Prem to and won't need to sell them.
