Surely he would have known he was injured when he went for the medical? I'd imagine it's a bit difficult to sneak an injury past the doctors. Therefore, this is bollocks.
Probably something that doesn't necessarily make him unable to play but makes him a risk to sign. He failed a medical at Everton before Norwich signed him. Austin failed one at Hull before we signed him. Man Utd didn't sign Jordan Henderson because they felt he ran a bit funny and would have injuries because of it.
**** knows. Sky reported at one point that Sunderland had decided he wasn't fit for the start of the season. That could mean an injury or just general lack of fitness.
Just seems a bit of a waste of time to me, going for a medical if you know you're not fit to play, doesn't seem to add up.
Maybe with 2 years left he will be worth hanging onto? Possible revisit Jan t sell or hang on IF we are at the top or near the top
I reckon the reason why weve been sh*t these last few year's is that it seems every player we have on the books are all crocked as we see everyone seems to fail their medical .so if we can hurry up with getting Austin out the door he'll be back before EastEnders starts
