Looks like Broad is off the bowling to preserve his figures?!

If the Aussies don't score three more runs it will be their lowest ever Ashes score

If Jimmy was playing Lyth would have needlessly given his wicket away by now.

I think England will declare at stumps with a lead of 300 and finish them off by lunch tomorrow! ;)

And extras top scores for the first time ever in a test innings.

Edit: apparently it's just the first time in an Ashes test. I'm guessing it's not a common occurrence though.

So 47 behind at lunch with all wickets intact, not a bad first session for sure

I'm going to stick my neck out here - and predict that England end up with a first innings lead <yikes>

    From BBC website

Neil Spofforth: Time for Cook to go. No adventure at all. Should have declared and put the Aussies back in.

Aussies bowled out before lunch on the first day of a test for the first time since 1896.

That's 21 runs on the board. Austrugglia had lost five (5!) wickets in getting this far <ok> <laugh>

Just back from the pub. Lots of unhappy Aussies. Calls for 'Extras' to be pushed up the order in the 2nd innings
