Looking at the online availability of tickets for saturday, i reckon we will be lucky to have a 12,000 crowd, i know alot of people are on holiday in August, but still, where are all those, we will pack the stadium out when we return to blue. Once again false Kaaardiff promises. It really does make me puke with the lack of support from within the city walls.

Just goes to prove that the vocal minority who see themselves as the true supporters of the club actually speak for no one.

The current malaise affecting the club has nothing to do with the colour we play in. The level of stadium support is reflected in the purpose and intent of the club coupled with the recent experience of the ****e played on the pitch.

Although some fans see alleged "green shoots" in the pre-season games, it will only become clear after those first half dozen Championship games are under our belt.

I think 12K is a bit low for the Fulham game isaw, more like around the 17K mark for me given they'll include the ST sales in the official figure. Mind you, that will be toward the top end of the season's game figures if we don't get off to a decent start, but that we could quickly improve on that if we achieve and maintain a top 6 position.

My guess is between the 2 at around 15k. You never know, perhaps Fulham will fill the away end. They're such a rowdy lot. <yikes>

I think we'll have an official attendance somewhere around 15-16K but it'll feel like 12k.

Those 500 odd dragged down from the pointless stand will make a difference though...........

In reply to Isaw's point I agree wholeheartedly. We had the stadium rammed with a side in red v Man City. No complaining, just excitement at PL football and massive investment in the playing squad. I said at the time of the major unrest last season the colour was an issue but the level of opposition by a vocal few didn't represent the feelings of the majority of our support. It was used to drum up momentum for a different anti Tan cause praying on peoples overall frustration with how poorly managed our promotion was by both manager and board.
To sum up imo if we were a stable PL side playing in red getting ready for our opening game in the top division this Saturday we'd have sold out weeks ago including the new stand.

My guess is 15 - 16K as well.

All points above are valid. To me though, the clubs current position is down to a dozen or so 'stupid beyond belief' decisions taken by Tan.

The phrase 'more money than sense' springs to mind.

I don't see any benefit in revisiting this argument in any sort of substance but.........

If slagging Tan for his ultimate handling of MM (who made some massive mistakes on and off the pitch) you have to also hand out credit to Tan for the promotion in the first place. Yes MM achieved it but he was gifted one of the largest budgets in Championship history to do it. As you say more money than sense.

The point i am trying to make is, the club should be better supported by those who actually live inside the City walls, aka most of the Bluebirds Unite gang, they got their wish and then turned on the owner ....wtf is that all about. The vast majority of people from my neck of the woods (Blackwood, sirhowy valley) grumbled about re newing but did re new, i left it until this Monday to renew. I really do see light at the end of the tunnel now, and it must have been a hell of a job offloading all of the bad signings on huge wages made by previous managers. We are almost there now and we have what looks like on paper a decent team. I would add another midfielder and if there is cash in the pot, i would go all out to try and sign Hennessey if Marshie is sold, chances are he will get sold to a Midlands club as that would enable him to still live in Cardiff where he is apparently well settled with his family. Apart from that we are good to go. Who will partner Mason up front though is a conundrum, personally i think he will give Revell the nod on Saturday. Lets hope for a successful season, where the football on offer is improved from last year. But more importantly lets get behind the team, if they do thier bit and give 100% then we should do the same. Anyway off to read Churchills autobiography again !!

Not revisiting any argument to be honest, but as you mention it sacking Mckay was only ONE of about a dozen stupid decisions.

Agree 100 %. Think I'd go with Ravell to start as well in a 4-4-2. Possibly bringing on Ameobi for Ravell later on & switching to 4-5-1.

probably a bit easier than under OGS. Every time I picked a scorer for the prediction league he wouldn't be playing. Think the team will be less volatile this season in terms of who crosses the white wash.

Moore, Peltier, Morrison, Connoly, Malone, Pilkington, Dikachoi, Whitts, Kennedy, Mason Revell. Just a guess

That's what I think as well isaw - with the exception of Ralls in place of Kennedy.

Barring any last minute knocks that's what'll start imo.

Me as well...I'd rather see Fabio instead of Malone, but no way is Slade gonna do that.

In my own way of thinking I think that Fabio may well do ok in the middle of the park, plus I agree I prefer Fabio to Molly

Wish I'd read this before I renewed.! No point in watching now I know how it ends <laugh>

If we're not threatening promotion Slade needs to go. With parachute and the squad we have we should be contenders. We might well end up not getting promoted but we shouldn't consider mid table to be 'fine'.
