Delete Question. Will stick to WFC in future. New Question: Who scored his first goal for Watford, but had it washed away?
Tamas Priskin in the 1-1 draw with Wigan that was abandoned the last time we were in the PL (28th Dec?). The irony is that when the game was replayed, it finished 1-1! Edit: that was his first league goal, he had scored against Hull in the League Cup 2 months earlier.
That was what I was looking for. The game was abandoned when the pitch became waterlogged, so his goal didn't stand. Over to you.
What is this footballing sequence from the last decade: red & white, blue, yellow, blue & white, black, white?
No, but it is to do with the FA Cup. Even though I said last decade, there's a reason I've only listed 6.
Another way that Dave was close is that material is involved, but not ribbons. It also is connected with something that was different about the FA Cup for those years.
The other way I could've done the sequence is: Arsenal, Chelsea, Southampton, Millwall, Man U and West Ham. I hope you all realised that by last decade I meant 2000s (I hate the term noughties), not within the last 10 years.
OK Yorkie. It was actually Kevin Moran who won 2 all Ireland football finals with Dublin and 2 FA Cups with Man United. It was a bit obscure but I was in a hurry on Saturday! I don't have time to set one today so will leave it to you or anyone else who wants to set the next one.
Cheers Dan. Which is the odd one out, and why? Britt Assombalonga, John Barnes, Steve Beleck, Elliott Godfrey, Adlène Guedioura, Tony Hapgood, George Toone, Jimmy Wilson and Javier Acuña.
