Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund have denied retaining an interest in Arsenal's Danish striker Nicklas Bendtner.
The 23-year-old is expected to leave Emirates Stadium this summer after manager Arsene Wenger admitted he was a 'possible departure'.
Bendtner's father had been drumming up interest in his son earlier this month after claiming 'Borussia Dortmund wish to buy' the marksman.
However, the Signal Iduna Park outfit have stated they have never been in the running for the Denmark international's signature.
"We have never been interested," Dortmund's press officer Josef Schneck told Sporten.tv2.dk.
"We're currently at our training camp in Switzerland and have been asked about this by German, Swiss and many other reporters.
"But believe me, there's nothing in this at all."
Bundesliga rivals Hamburg are still believed to be in the hunt for the ex-Birmingham loanee while Fulham and Sporting have also been credited with an interest.
I knoiw there are many that feel Mr Bendtner has not enjoyed the best of times at the emirates due to being played out of position, fair enough but i have never been a huge advocate of the guy and it appears Borussia Dortmund are of a similar opinion. They must have seen some of his miss of the season video replays.
I do wish him the best of luck but feel its time for him to move on.
