Lazio willing to take balotelli on loan.. Providing they beat Man United and qualify for CL.

Bit strange, as the draw for CL hasn't even been made yet <laugh>

I think we could possible sign 1 more player, but only if we can get our absolute number 1 target for what ever position it is we are looking at. I do not think we will compromise and panic buy. I imagine the club are generally satisfied, but if that one player can be got he will be got.

I think if we can get someone like illarramendi then would potentially be a very good window, especially if rumoured fee of around 15m is true.

Hes ear a type of midfielder we don't have in deep lying playmaker (Alonso-lite) and would compliment the rest of our midfielders (Can, powerful, hendo and Milner good work horses, coutinho creative).

I know others would be interested in a defender but I think given how much we've spent on them in last few years we'll wait for another season and see how lovren/Sakho/Ilori gdt on.

They wouldn't give United such a difficult draw <ok>

would be quite funny if after all that last year, all the boasting and money spent if lost and dropped to the EL <laugh>

I agree. Our defense needs a chance to settle, but our midfield is still lacking.

Yes I think we can all see it.

    For sure a big weakness

But at least we've the goal potential in the side and the legs to run so barring injuries we should improve.

We should all remember that despite doing everything wrong last year including signings we were actually close to 4th. We gave up which was unforgivable but this year we've more goals in us to push city for sure.

I still think 75 points max is achievable

    Completely agree. <ok>

And with Traore - I'm all for investing in youth but what's the point now? Rodgers only ends up playing them out of position or not at all. He already seems to have written off Markovic and Moreno, and Can only got a chance because of injuries.

I think IF Rodgers sets up the team properly, then we are more than capable. Our team was far more capable last season as well but massively underperformed.

Issue is that I question Rodgers doing the right things. The line up and formation against Stoke will answer those questions...

So.. these Adama rumours were just that.. Ayre as pretty much said that our incomings for this Window are done, not its a case of getting rid of those that are surplus to requirements!
So, we happy with with a dealings? [Jimmy put away the razor, no need to self harm fella!]

Liverpool are not in the race to sign Barcelona winger Adama Traore.

Reports in Spain suggested that the 19-year-old was on the brink of flying to Merseyside to undergo a medical with the Reds.

However, the ECHO understands that Liverpool aren’t interested in a deal for the teenager.

Traore, who has represented Spain at under-19 level, is likely to move to the Premier League over the coming days, but either Stoke City or Aston Villa is likely to be destination.

Spanish clubs Villarreal and Celta Vigo are also keen on him but Traore has indicated he wants to play in England.

Barcelona are prepared to agree a permanent deal but only on the basis they secure a buyback option – similar to the one they negotiated with Everton for Gerard Deulofeu this summer.

Traore has made four first-team appearances for Barcelona. He has been a regular for Barcelona B over the past two seasons – scoring eight goals in 63 outings.

Would have liked Illara to come in, different type of midfielder to what we currently have but maybe waiting to jan to see if we need anything at that point.

Cant argue gues with what we've done, replaced Johnson with better, replaced Gerrard with Milner and Can. Much better options up front with Ings and Origi offering more than borini and benteke probably going to offer more than balotelli, while firmino is a replacement for sterling.

I'm sure there are players that we're still trying to sell, even if it takes til the end of the window. I also wouldn't be surprised to see one more new face, but equally wouldn't be surprised if that was the end of our purchases.

Incomings look overall like they should improve the squad and give the team better balance. You can argue about some of the prices paid and that certain positions still need to be improved, but I think the squad's been improved. Enough for fourth? I fear not, but we will see.
