Oh so moving the goalposts now are we. So its a combination of personnel and shots on goal and possession i see... So arteta a dm for ox a winger isnt defensive and gibbs a lb for a ozil a luxury am are both attacking moves....i seeee

Im just glad that mourinho saw the funny side in things and credited arsene for the defensive performance.

Did you see Gibbs playing at left back, or did you see him going 1v1 with your keeper on the right side of the area.

Ivan did his best to stop him sighting his wall <laugh>
That was more like a mental rather than physical.
Our players go to war for Cech in all those matches. Everyone knows Cech's weakness, lets see how that works out in the league for the goons.

BTW - De Gea is more or less same as Cech in shot stopping but just worse than Cech in commanding that too without any past.

That was one off, Dave & Ivan do like that all the time during the match.

I agree it was just a psych thing.
The only way I can separate de Gea and Courtois is their command of the box at set pieces, Courtois has the advantage with his height. I am on record on this board from 3 years (or more) ago as saying the next best keeper in the world would be either de Gea or Courtois and even then I said there would be very little between them.

So when you guys have 99% of possession in your own half shrek playing on the halfway line is that van gaal playing total defensive football or because rooney is an attacker on the pitch so meaning he is more attacking?

No, that's us trying to pick our way through a parked bus (and failing so far) <ok>

Diego, lets not analyze this much.

Arsene learnt Jose's teaching at last.
Jose ddin't pick the best team and put out last season's players.
Perhaps Jose wanted to give Cech his only probable trophy without much ado. <whistle>

I like that, it sits well with me <laugh>

Very bitter for a game that didn't matter (apparently).
I actually agree with this.
Who gives a **** ffs.
It was a Charity Sponsored friendly.
Let Arsenal keep their "Community Shield Champions" title. They need it more than we do <ok>

Been saying this for months.

Good job at not sounding bothered.

Also very bitter. Jose was pissed off as well. Not that he cares though. Same as you.

Jose cares about everything.
He just doesn't like losing.
Especially to Arsene Wenger it seems.

Congrats to the Goons but it is only a friendly. I would much rather be ready for Swansea next week. That is an important game with points at stake, as it will be when we next meet Arsenal. Bring it on.

Yep, you really don't sound bothered <laugh>

Oh this one, where I mean the opposite of what I say, to hide my pain.
I would be saying the same thing if we had won <doh>
I will just be quiet then, through my gushings of tears :p

Congrats to Arsenal. Deserved it completely, even if Chelsea did look about 3 weeks behind in fitness. I hope its not a slow start to the season...
