I backed 3 yesterday afternoon.

REBEL FITZ 9/4 3.55 Galway
Price long gone. Seemed a big price for a horse 8/10 over obstacles, getting weight against very middling opposition <yikes>

MR BOSS MAN 10/1 5.00 Galway
This ones now 14s since I backed him. Ran against one of Willies hotpots over jumps, drops to 1m5 on the flat here but the stiff finish should play to his strengths. Ground has gone soft, which isn't what he wants however.

ERVEDYA 13/8 3.10 Deauville
Will strike a blow for the 3 year old fillies today, having shown a devastating turn of foot in a very good Royal Ascot win.

At Chester this afternoon, Eastern Impact has been priced up as favourite for the 3:15 Listed race on the strength of his 50/1 third in the July Cup. This obviously looks like a fluke, so course and distance winner PORTAMENTO, second in a Group 3 race last time looks the one to be on.

On Saturday, the Prix de Psyche at Deauville proved another kick in the teeth for the three-year-old fillies’ form as Prix de Diane runner-up Physiocrate came in second last just ahead of Godolphin’s Beautiful Romance with Germany’s Bourree collecting the Group 3.

In the weekend’s big race, the Group 1 Prix Rothschild, the best three-year-old filly in Europe meets her elders for the first time. In a slowly run race at Newmarket, Amazing Maria beat Bawina and Fintry in the Falmouth Stakes to add to her defeat of Rizeena in a slow Ascot Group 2 event; both races on fast ground. Odeliz won a German Group 3 race last time having finished in front of Amulet in a similar race at Epsom, so both are looking for places at best on form. Usherette has won two ordinary races at Chantilly and is thrown in at the deep end. ERVEDYA won on this card last year and last time out registered a fast time winning a muddling Coronation Stakes. Prior to that she won the Pouliches well in a fast time and she ought to maintain her unbeaten record this season as Amazing Maria may not be best suited by the slower ground at Deauville.

I trust that it will meet with the Der Kaiser’s approval that I did not mention any ratings in that analysis.

Last day of Galway,be nice to end with a winner.
2.45.Ravished win 7s.Keep coming back to this lad who is on hatrick of wins and only up 7lbs from last win at Kilbeggan.Saver on Sekinnane at 20s,market mover.
3.20.Baraweez win 3s.Has the stand out form of race after finishing second to Hint of Tint on Tuesday and won this last year, will be my main wager today.
5.00.Crystal Pearl win 4s.Went close on Tuesday, compensation await
Charity Shield fields my beloved Arsenal against arch enemies Chelski.Small punt on a scoreless draw after 90 mins 9s.

afternoon all ---i like poetic verse @4/1 in the 4 05 MR
also in the 505 Saint Briac @14/1 -for simon west , this horse has run well here before in better grade than this,he is adept at getting one ready following a lay off, there has been bits of money , Henry Brooke rides--i'm going E/W

over at Chester in the 2 40 King Robert at 8/1 is way too big -his form has been franked a number of times , he hasn't been out since his opening win --bryan smart knows the score.....

17:15 Chepstow - Distant High

(Hopeful filly will follow-up win LTO at this longer distance. In good form and is bred to stay a mile-and-a-half plus. Course winner already and a 6lb. penalty for recent win almost negated by Tom Marquand's 5lb. claim. Sporting bet at freely-available 5/1).

Jaysus how'd the Rebel get beat there <yikes> Just emptied on the run to home, no doubt lack of race fitness was telling there, but that was cruel!

st breauc was way too fresh , couple more runs will be needed --the other two won well -so a tidy profit on the day !

When is the next decent festivel with a wee bit of jumps thrown in, probably a while away yet. This has to be the most boring flat season I can remember

Actually, ste, I'm finding it so exciting that I've just got to take a break so I can calm down...........<laugh>
