Ignoring the ****ing stupid argument above, Chester was easily the best defender that I've seen in a City shirt.
He's definitely in my top 3 fave City players ever.

I thought Michael Turner was better than Chester but he went a bit downhill after he left us.
he did, but agree in a city shirt he was equally as good at defending...chesters big plus is his confidence on the ball, even with top quality strikers closing him down, didnt have to hold your breath that he was going to fall over...like you did with our midfielders, or some strikers.

An interesting August for Chester though,,,, Man City H(live on sky mnf) - Watford A - Chelsea H and Stoke A.
class will always find it`s level, Chessie has been terrific for us in the last four years, and a perfect professional, shame to lose him but was always going to be difficult hanging on to him, with Pullis as his manager now I`m fairly certain he`ll remain in the top league until one of the so called `bigger` clubs come calling. I wonder if we have a sell on clause inserted in the deal ?
Dawson possibly in his Spurs days, Maguire maybe one day, Davies, not quite as good as Chester. Good luck to Chezzy, him and Jobbo the best defenders I've seen wearing a City shirt

I thought you were trolling too, it doesn't say much for how you rate defenders if that's what you actually think, Daws in his younger days would be better but not the other two, not by a long way
Had to google them, just a few years ahead of my time. 1980-1981 apparently the worst season in our history so maybe I'm not missing much!
I also think Jobson just shades it, not much between them, but on balance agree with you.
