Of course provocative, but then what is debate without it?

I am trying to be balanced in my views and actually present a more rounded view of this occurance and the issues that surround it, but it is in fact posters from this board who have the more narrow view that they have presented back to me.

The definition of a WUM is not what I have been doing, as in fact I have agreed with a lot of what has been said and tried to counter it or add to it...

Whether or not I am welcome is another matter entirely, but this is a forum not just one board, and you and i can post an opinion anywhere we like...

    ???

But I have had fun, so where is the problem...I have actually enjoyed being challenged by what has been discussed...more so from the likes of PNP than others but there you go.

You have taken things out of context, and presented them back as though to prove a point...well done, you are the bigger man...not.

We had the dis-pleasure of one of your members coming to us recently and being ridiculous...I thought I would see how they behaved over here and funnily enough they were equally as bad.

If you want me moderated, please feel free to message Syd and put your case forward as he will view it with a balanced point of view, but please be sure to include links to these threads with your examples of my ill behaviour.

Look, as others have pointed out. Your chances of getting Levy to do business with you in this matter are virtually zero. Whether you choose to accept it, or not, Levy obviously knows something about the way this whole affair has been conducted. Something, that he is very clearly extremely pissed off about.
In my view, and I suspect, our chairmans', thie way this proposed "transfer" has been pursued resembles more of an attempted hijacking, than a transfer.

Please feel free to carry on your pointless pursuit. I suspect, however, that Abramovichs' only chance of getting Levy to agree to a deal, is to think of a very large, ridiculously high, figure - And then double it.

I am answering points made...if we sign a player or not has dissolved into the past as this thread has developed.

Honestly, I would prefer that we accept Levy's stance and move on, but I have just been getting invloved here with the points raised around the bigger picture and nothing more.

To be honest with you Luke, I think that even with CL this season as well the Chelsea issue would've raised its head anyways. Only, it would be more obviously about the money...

    Bullshit.
He'd have still had the chance to double his wages elsewhere and as we've all seen, he's a mercenary little twat, so he'd have done so.
Remember that he didn't have a particularly good season when we finished 4th, due to injury, so the offers weren't there last summer.

Spurs don't have a substantial income either, relatively speaking.
I've posted the wage bill list before and I know that you've seen it, so why perpetuate that lie?
Liverpool's wage bill is nearly double ours, for ****'s sake.
Arsenal's isn't far behind that and Citeh, Chelsea and yourselves are even higher.

    Sorry...last one from me...

We would have bid, He would have asked for more money, you would have paid it and you would move into the qualifying stages no problem with a solid bedrock for the forthcoming season.

Let's face it as well, he's 99% likely to be there next season...you'll boo him at first and then like Rooney at OT you'll love him again, because he is class<ok>

Undoubtedly true, but as I said, the issue would've come up because of the money factor.

And you're right, I think, he will probably stay at least another season, and then it will come up again unless Chelsea sign Kaka or the like. Much depends on the upcoming season for Spurs, which is why us dragging our feet in the transfer window and getting bogged down in the Olympiss stadium issue is so galling.

<rose> I can only surmise from all of this that Modric must really want to meet Alan Titchmarsh. <rose>

Sorry Lidls, but you're talking rubbish, again.

Spurs increased Bale's wages, that's true, but we've still got a wage bill that's dwarfed by a lot of teams.
    http://www.scribd.com/fullscreen/55741334
Gallas took a pay cut to come to Spurs and van der Vaart is allegedly on around £45k pw.

What you are suggesting is that Spurs need to spend to get into the Champions League regularly and that we need to get into the Champions League regularly in order to spend.
I'm sure that you can see how dumb that is.

As for Utd's advantages be completely fair and above board, you are joking, aren't you?
Leaving aside the ridiculous decisions that you're afforded, both on and off the pitch, can you explain how the broadcaster with exclusive rights over the Premier League having part-ownership of your club wasn't an unfair advantage?
Being relentlessly promoted by Sky didn't help you at all, did it?

Cantona should've been banned for life.
    He attacked a ****ing fan.

Ferdinand dodged a drugs test and should've been given the maximum ban allowed.
If you don't take the test, then you can't fail it.

Rooney elbowed McCarthy at Wigan last season and escaped without a ban, even after Clattenburg reviewed the video.
Yes, that's the same Mark Clattenburg that was in charge when Pedro Mendes' goal wasn't given at Old Trafford and Nani's goal was allowed to stand last season.

Spurs can't compete with the wages offered by Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, Citeh or Liverpool.
I've shown you the proof, yet you choose to ignore it.
    Ridiculous.

You don't see how Sky giving Man Utd preferential coverage benefited the club?
You're not stupid Lidls, so stop pretending that you are.

First off, obviously it is an advantage to be in the CL, both financiallly, and to meet the aspirations of your players. However, the main problem for Spurs, in my view, is the lack of a proper stadium. Every week we are still at WHL in the season, is millions in revenue lost. This problem needs to be sorted, and quickly, if we are ever going to compete regularly at the top level.

PNP. Re Cantona. Whilst what he did was totally unacceptable, a few words in mitigation. A mate was at that game, seated close to what happened. The guy that Cantona went after was a known loudmouth and rabble rouser. Apparently, he'd been giving Cantona all kinds of verbal **** throughout the game. When Cantona was sent off, he ran to the front, spat at him, and along with accompanying "hand signals" suggested that he should "**** off back to France, you French ****". Mr Cantona, unsurprisingly, perhaps, took exception to this, and decided to mete out his own retribution.

Like I said, no real defense. But, as Popeye says sometimes "I can stands so much, and I can't stands no more"

If a fan physically attacks a player, then what happens to him, NSIS?
What would have happened to Palace, had their fans decided to respond in kind to Mr Cantona's behaviour?
Imagine if he'd have done it against Millwall, for example...
