Does everyone think that all starting players in all top teams train hard?

There's a difference between holding a bit back and being a complete lazy arse and coming across as unprofessional as a result - which is Marios MO in that regard.
I'll admit, only seen the lad when he played against us in the cup, on that performance alone, he was better than our backup at the time.
Mings has recovered his form, this chap (unless Mings has another episode) will always play the backup role, for that, he's decent.
This Romero chap, only saw him play in the World cup and from what I can remember, he was decent, nothing more, he's certainly no DdG and replacing DdG with this lad will be a backward step!
Players like Berba, Ibra, Lavezzi and Tevez are poor trainers by all accounts.
Means nothing what they do off the pitch (to some extent). If that was the case, then Jay Spearing would still be at the club, along with other sh*te players.
Balotelli is in a league of his own though. He's a complete biff Jimmy, and your defence of him is daft.
He's taken a years salary - about £5m for delivering **** all at Anfield, and you'll blow £m's on the fee you paid as well.
The man's a donk
So you think the club have done all they can to help him thrive?
Rodgers got nothing out of him, nor did he try to by playing him as a lone striker - where he has never succeeded.
The most annoying thing however is put him in a two, either alongside Sterling or Sturridge and our attack was far better - but this seems to be overlooked by the majority.
Rodgers gamble on him failed, and he lost interest in him - eventually, but he did persevere with him for longer than most reds were comfortable with. The player himself didn't cut it, on or off the pitch, to blame the club or Rodgers and excuse him is complete nonsense mate.
Everyone knew he doesn't put a shift in in training, he never has!
Rodgers knew all about his reputation and his behavioural issues before he signed him.
But he still chose to take him on....
Why? As a ****ing vanity mission imo, to prove to his one time Mentor ( a man who called Balotelli unmanageable) that he could tame him and get a tune out of him.
Guess what? He came to Anfield and acted in the same way he'd done every where else. Even Taarabt (who Redknapp described as the worst trainer he'd ever seen!) described Balotelli as being lazy in training ffs!
Rodgers took a massive punt on Balotelli and for all the wrong reasons imo, the fact that it's been a total disaster of a move should surprise no-one. Mario is a massive twonk and always will be.

Just reading a bit about Romero that United signed. He was 2nd choice at Monaco, 2nd choice at Sampdoria last year and many in Argentina believe shouldn't even be 2nd choice for them let alone first choice as have 2 better keepers.
Interesting to to see people raving about him when he's hardly played football for the last few years!

He persevered with him as a lone striker - a role he has never done.
A quality manager builds his team around those at his disposal - not shove players into a failed system. Sturridge, Lambert and Sterling all failed when they played as the lone striker as well.
But Romero hasn't played football on a consistent basis for last 4 years?

Balotelli is an ego on legs, his failure at Anfield wasn't all about the system, it was more about him not being the 'main man' the man that the team was built around. He was a squad player and not a first team nailed on starter, it's not what he's used to and he didn't adapt to it.
Bogdan hardly played last year for Championship side Bolton.
At least Romero has played international.
Not saying Romero is amazing, just saying I would have him over Bogdan.
If neither are going to play, I'd rather save the 30k extra in wages Romero is probably earning (plus greater signing on fee)
But Romero has better shot of challenging for a starting position than Bogdan. Romero has experience of training with world class players and playing with big expectations on his shoulders.
Personally, if neither are intended to play, then why sign them in the first place? Waste of resources.
