I can't believe how little I care but that seems a pretty straightforward group.

You just know that Hodgson will still play Rooney, Sterling, Henderson etc. every game.

I can't see any argument for not playing the first two.

Even against Malta? Surely that would be the game to try out the fringe players in a competetive match, but Woy wouldn't risk it

As the first two are among our best players, I hope he does!

Because that group is piss easy. Good opportunity to give some of the second string a chance.

That'll never happen with Woy in charge, he plays for 1-0 every game. He never risked anything in this summer's friendlies which is why Charlie never set foot on the pitch...

20 minutes in a nothing game, that's the most daring thing he's done in ages. Woy is a 'belt and braces' man, Vardy and Charlie won't get a look-in when all the other regulars are available...

He tends to play one up front and Rooney is a million miles ahead of the others followed by Kane, who he's also give a chance to. If Sturridge is fit he's well above Austin too.

We know better than most that Austin suits a 4-4-2. I can't blame Hodgson for not picking our fourth or fifth best striker who plays in a system completely different to his own.
