It was mentioned - somewhere between pages 1 and 84 that there may be a bit of 'tit-for-tat' inasmuch as Hull may feel that they paid over the odds for Snoddy and may have seen this deal as a way of redressing the balance?
Agreed and it's not too much over the odds. He'll certainly intensify the fight for places in the starting 11!!!!!
I can't see how we have overpaid. £7m for a 23 year old current international with good Premiership experience who covers 2 positions where we were weak seems good business to me especially when you look at the prices being paid elsewhere for older players with no Premiershjp experience.
Entirely possible. That's their prerogative. He was their player. If we wanted him to be our player, we have to play by their rules. If not, they keep him. Works both ways and I know we're a right bunch of you-know-whats when it comes to sales!
All down to personal views I suppose - how much people value players can vary. I tend to agree that we've paid what we'd expect to pay in the current market. That's not to say he's not overpriced, or even underpriced! Some will see it either way.
Yeah, you're right - but when it's QPHa snooping around Leroy Fer with their untold zillions what would you have done if you were a) an astute businessman, b) David McNally, CEO, NCFC?
thing with Snoddy is they spent a large portion of their budget on a player who didn't manage to play a game. I would feel cross about that especially having got relegated with it as a contributing factor.
Well true but you can still be irritated by it and look for something to blame. Also we were all aware his knees weren't great but they had a chance to do a medical.
Club Call reporting that Robbie Brady has not joined Hull on their pre season tour and has stayed behind to finalise his move to NCFC https://www.clubcall.com/norwich-city/brady-in-talks-after-7m-fee-agreed-1775884.html?
Here's a headline to fill king of the wums OLM full of joy! We've bought a flop! http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/593755/Robbie-Brady-Hull-Norwich-Transfer-News-7million
Interesting article on how Hull should deal with high earners, etc following relegation. It makes it sound as if Tigers fans may have to pay more to watch their team despite relegation (Penultimate paragraph) http://boothferrytowembley.blogspot.co.uk/2015/07/hull-city-and-reality-of-relegation.html
Come on, it's slightly more believable than the Daily Fail, just a little bit! tbh I posted it because it made me smile. How long ago was he at Man. Ure?
Paddy Davitt @paddyjdavitt 10m10 minutes ago #ncfc AN wants 3/4 more bodies in. Incl keeper, left-back, striker
No specific mention of a CB which I must admit, concerns me - especially after watching the uncertainty between Martin and Whitaker this afternoon? Also, why a LB? I thought the point of busting a gut to get Brady to sign was his versatility, which includes covering Olsson at LB if required?
