Virgil as our replacement for Toby and another CB on loan. If we can do that, get Praet or another CM I think we're in decent shape. Austin would just be the cherry on the cake for me.

Interesting he feels we need DM. I think Clasie, VW and Reed are three strong players in that role.

Yes, Clasie isn't really a DM like Morgan was. He likes going forward more.
I hope they are. If not, I guess Reed will never make that breakthrough. He is very similar in size and style to Clasie and would interchange easily with him. I guess it is the big guy to go with them we need for when Wanyama is suspended...
I'm not saying VW, Clasie and Reed aren't up there in sufficient quality. There's just not enough quantity. Last season there were a couple of games where neither Morgan nor Victor were available and although we coped, it was a near thing. We can't just muddle through and hope for the best. We've lost the proven good quality and option of Schneiderlin, Cork and Alderweireld and we've brought in Jordy and Cuco. Unproven, at this level, and insufficient in numbers.
Look, we need more depth. We are in the Europa League which means a ****load more games. What happens if 2 of those get injured? We need a bigger squad.
A starting CB alongside Fonte, another CB for cover, and another CDM and I think we'll be set.
Have to agree with Mr. Fonte and I imagine those comments are not just his opinion but the clubs opinion.
Once we sold Cork, Toby covered three positions as Yoshida was probably our best squad player.
So effectively we need to cover those three roles with three players
Martina is reserve right back, so now it's a CB & DM.
Realistically we're going to lose Big Vic next summer so in my opinion it should be someone who will be ready to fill his sizeable boots by next season.
JWP is under contract until 2020 so Spurs have no chance. Not that I believe a word of that article.
