Sturridge and Benteke will not play together, it will be one or the other.
Benteke has until Sturridge is fit to stake his claim, if he is doing the business then Sturridge will have to fight for his place back.
Personally i think if Sturridge does not improve his injury record, days of him being an automatic chose when fit are gone.

Agreed - his injuries are becoming an issue now. But at the same time, he needs to be managed better. God knows why Rodgers played him in cup games last season.

Keep him fit for league games only.

Him not being an automatic first choice would help with his injury record [HASHTAG]#winwin[/HASHTAG]

Bollocks, Hendo is only good defensively, as he is crap with the ball, he excels at getting the ball, but then his tiny pea brain burns up when he has to think about what to do with it.

Lol! I do agree with a lot of what you said, particularly his offensive side.

But pressing and running around are only small parts of being good defensively. His positioning is poor, spatial awareness not great, and disciplined is question.

He is the ideal player to have next to a dedicated DM, but he's not a DM.

I don't agree, they play a totally different game, and could play together at the expense of the midfield, and hopefully David Brent will know how to tailor the team for each game. Our problem of late has always been no plan B, now we have several plans, and I just hope the manager gets it right when picking the team each game.

I agree to some extent - you're right we didn't have a Plan B but that wasn't the issue. The issue was that our Plan A was simply awful.

Rather than having 2-3 different ways of playing, I rather we focused on one and perfecting it first. <ok>

Ings and Origi give alternatives from the bench and can be given game time in cups, but where does Mario fit in??
Would only even be considered if both Bentaeke and Sturridge injured and even then, plenty of alternative formations
Sadly i think, like a lot of people predicted, he has no future.

Where is Dick Orgy in the pecking order?

Presumably Studge is still top.
Benteke, Ings and then Orgy.

So 4th, although mat be used out wide (if we play wide). As a supporting attacker surely he is below Cout, Firm, Ibe, La la, etc.

I have doubts we'll see him much this year. Maybe next year.

What happened to Texiera, is he still on the books? Out to loan again or staying? He'd probably be competing with Orgy for spots too.

I would say sturridge is boned. his hip injury is something that scares me anyway

My view is its benteke no 1.. sturridge 2 in rodgers mind. Ings and origi are prob farily equal. Ings has got more time.

Teixteria is on the preseason tour. Played a bit of game one. 45mins. the next two games have been first 11 getting together in my view minus real attack.

I would assume he is lcm material and will be laoned out.

moario... come on.. we all know if he could be given a broom he'd **** up cleaning the floor.

Back on topic... I don't want Reus, have you seen his injury record!?!?! His ankles are putty, he will be out more than Sturridge, and in no way will be worth the transfer fee being talked about. We will have the most expensive injury list in the Prem. I'm happy to just sell the deadwood and call it a day.

Offensively not great? Yet came up with most assists for us, more than Ford, Gerrard and Sterling...
Would have had more assists too had it not been for lack of forwards to play in towards the end of the season!
The lad's a Box to Box MF, so at times his defensive duties do suffer, agree, we need to pair him and Milner up with a more defensive minded MF, would like Can to be that player for us.. however, he does like going on the odd run himself, so Hendo and Milner will need to make sure that not all three are ahead of play.

someone is working very hard on pedro.

mundo had us linked again today.

i think his agent is working very hard to engineer a move. why did he sign a new contract then?

What is stopping Liverpool?. Money.

Borussia Dortmund's Marco Reus has blossomed into one of the Bundesliga's most exciting .

Great player but it would be madness if we spent major money on him.

If we have 50m to spend lets chuck it at a world class DM. Then we'd have an extremely good starting 11.
