Yeah but you don't want their manager mate. They have a decent enough squad but he will knock them down into in or around the bottom 3.

    Agree with QWOP here.
He could take over Barca and you'll see Messi playing at left back and Pique on the wing.

Ive taken a few bets with different mates,

Mitro to outscore bamford in the PL
    Nufc to finish above Palace
Nufc to finish above all newly appointed teams! - if we finish below just one, i lose!

ill probably end up taking a couple more if we get Mbemba, austin and Thuavin confirmed.

No I wouldn't want the manager, but I'd say the squad is more than decent. I think it's very good. Head and shoulder above both of us. It's the balance, it's superb, prefect blend of youth and experience, ball players and pace. Very good outfit. Different manager I think they could really push on from the mid table side they are now to knocking on a Europa placing door.

    Apart from the fact that
    - They have rubbish goalkeepers
    - They're defence (in terms of individuals) is probably worse than both Nufc and Safc
    - Midfield is good, too decent wingers, one good CM, probably could do with signing two or three more (injuries/suspensions)
    - No striker that looks like he will defo get more than 10 goals, Bamford unteasted at this level, Dwight gayle's a good talent, Glen Murray is very inconstant and the less I say about Chamck the better.
    - The manager is never quite sure how to tell the difference between his ass and his elbow!

Their defence and goal keeping could be better(but nobody is claiming they're perfect) but they outclassed yours last season. Undeniably. You're defence was so poor last season only QPR conceded more. Even in that department they're streets ahead of you. Key to remember there's plenty of window left to go so that can easily change.

Im defo hoping that changes, and I do expect changes in the way we defend with a new head coach and backroom staff. I cant help but feel that the solid C Palace defence was due to Tony Pullis, who always ensures his teams are tight at the back. The more pardew works with the players, i think its an area they will only deteriorate, especially if no new signings are made in that area.

If we are fortunate enough to bring in a couple of Cb's on top of Lacelles coming in, I can see it changing. Still theres plenty more of this window to be had, I'm just feeling optimistic and probably being a bit niavely biased towards my team.

Well Palace do concede a lot, it's an area which needs significant investment if they are to push on. You look like you need two CBs and a Left Back. Without them there's only so much SM can do. Like I said, Still loads of time though.

I reckon if we get another 2 or 3 signings of the calibre we are currently investing in, our squad is comfortably better than Palace.

Mbemba, then CB, ST, AM. We will look well set for the season. We all said we were 6 signings away from a proper squad. It looks as though we'll have the numbers, but more importantly, we are buying a better standard. Mitrovic will need time but the pedigree is not in doubt. Gini is a class act. I think we will get those players too. If we do I think we will be ensconced in mid table (though I think their top 8 ambitions are lofty).

Genuinely surprised about posters thoughts with regards to Palace this season. I can imagine me being pretty happy at the end of the season if we have finished above them. Hangeland and Dann are alright at the back, Ledley, Bolasie, McArthur, Cabaye, Zaha and Puncheon in midfield. Bamford, Campbell, Murray and Gayle. That's very decent and with a few signings at the back could really settle in the top 10.
