Best I could do is watching the Bet365 wave (lots of Dundee Utd > Dangerous Attack!).

10 mins to play, Dundee United 50/1 for the win, 10/1 a draw

Not watching it too closely but Luongo looks the best player on the pitch and Schorch looks crap.

Luongo looks our best player, and reputedly Chery is similarly good. But aren't they basically dopplegangers? 5ft7 / 5ft9, slim attacking midfielders. How do we get them both on the pitch without making our midfield too lightweight?

Ps. Enjoyed the game, but Schorch looks naff

I was hoping he was going to score a 30 yard Schorcher!

Absolutely, both are pretty much nailed on to start against the drug addicts.

Result: Queens Park Rangers dig deep to see off Dundee United

    By Daniel Lewis, Reporter

Queens Park Rangers have stepped up their preparations for the new Championship campaign by beating Dundee United 2-1 at the Hive Stadium.

The Hoops came close to finding a way through just 10 minutes in, as Jamie Mackie's short was only kept out by Luis Zwick fine stop.

A QPR side containing Charlie Austin up top did manage to get the better of Zwick soon after, though, with Matty Phillips racing on to a through-ball and sliding home the opener.

It did not take long for the Terrors to hit back, as Mario Bilate slid the ball beyond Robert Green to level things up in Barnet.

    QPR 2-1 Dundee United

QUEENS Park Rangers edged out their opponents from north of the border

Another pre-season fixture, another step in the fitness levels for the players - the majority fulfilling 90 minutes - and another victory for a new look QPR side.

Played out at Barnet's Hive - QPR took the advantage in the first half with Matt Phillips rounding the keeper and rolling home after a slick passing move.

A blend of youth and experience among the Rs set up with young players Darnell Furlong and Michael Doughty featuring alongside Clint Hill.

The Scottish travellers had an abundance of young talent at their disposal however, not least wide-man Charlie Telfer, who impressed throughout.

It was forward Mario Benati that levelled however sending the visiting 300 or so into joyous scenes behind the goal.

The Rs did breakthrough with the winner and it was the two former Swindon Town men - the enterprising Ben Gladwin knocked down for the combative Massimo Luongo to bravely nod home.

A positive performance with plenty still to work on - particularly in defensive areas as Rangers prepare for the upcoming Championship campaign.

No, as I wrote on another thread, he might be a good squad player, but he is absolutely not the player that should partner Ned.

The general consensus seems to be that Luongo is quality and was our best player. Let's hope that this is the first of many ...

He played on the left wing and looks like he can create going forward, but also works hard getting back. An excellent signing and future prospect.
Speculating, but I think that he would fit in a 433 nicely behind Chery.

Matt Phillips and Massimo Luongo on target for QPR in friendly win ...

    • QPR beat Dundee United 2-1 in pre-season friendly
    • Goals from Matt Phillips and Massimo Luongo hand R’s win
    • Chris Ramsey’s side face Newport County next on Sunday
GOALS from Matt Phillips and Massimo Luongo ensured QPR recorded a 2-1 win against Dundee United on Wednesday evening.
The R’s pair struck either side of half time to hand Chris Ramsey’s side a pre-season win in their first friendly in the UK this summer.
In a game played at Barnet’s Hive Stadium to protect the Loftus Road playing surface, it was QPR who tested their opponents first when Jamie Mackie went close after 12 minutes.
Just seven minutes later Ramsey’s side was ahead as Matt Phillips raced through on goal before rounding Dundee United keeper Luis-Maria Zwick and coolly side footing into the empty net.
The visitors’ response was to head over from close range in the 23rd minute as Blair Spittal wasted a chance to equalise before Chris Erskine had a penalty appeal waved away.
United eventually made their possession pay though when just after the half hour mark striker Mario Bilate was afforded space inside the QPR penalty area to collect a ball from the right and brush it past Rob Green.
The QPR stopper was then required to prevent a second goal as he denied Erskine five minutes from half-time – diving to his right - with Ben Gladwin firing well over the other end before the first half was brought to a close.
The Arabs started the second half with the first chance when fullback Paul Dixon shot wide from distance before QPR’s Australian international Massimo Luongo curled wide from 18-yards.
Rangers threatened to regain their lead when Mackie hit the outside of the post from out wide before the enthusiastic attacker tested the keeper from close range soon after.
Rangers did however regain their lead in the 64th minute when Matt Phillips cross was headed back across goal by Ben Gladwin and Luongo was on hand to see his header squirm under the keeper from six-yards.
Visiting substitute Fraser carved out an opening for the visitors when his neat ball over the top saw Murray lash wide from 12-yards before scaring the R’s once more when they hit Ramsey’s side on the counter attack only to see Bodul hit the side of Green’s goal.
Striker Charlie Austin had experienced a quiet night but he nearly opened his pre-season account six minutes from time when Luongo’s tackle found Mackie and his through ball put the 26-year-old in on goal but his shot was just wide.
It didn’t matter though as the Hoops sealed victory ahead of Sunday’s friendly at Newport County.
QPR: Green, Furlong, Schorch (Kpekawa 78), Onuoha, Hill, Phillips, Luongo, Doughty, Gladwin, Mackie, Austin (Grego-Cox 89).
Subs not used: Lumley, Caulker, Goburn, Polter, Faurlin, Emmanuel-Thomas, Comley, Hoilett.

It was a typical pre season performance, Charlie wasn't in the game at all. To be honest the best bit was our winner going through their keeper to a chorus of Scotland s no 1

Sure you can. That's kind of the point with trials.
