QPR WANT EAGLES MIDFIELDER

QPR are interested in Crystal Palace midfielder Adlene Guediora, Sky Sports understands.

The Algerian had two loan spells at Watford last season, helping them to promotion to the Premier League, and his Eagles deal has just one year left to run.

I'm expecting they are just making this up, do they have a draw in the morning, a la fa cup, and bring out a players name and then a club to link them with? Not sure ANOTHER midfielder is a priority right now!

This would be a great signing for you. He was excellent for us last season and most fans were disappointed that he didn't come on a permanent transfer.

He's not in Palace's 25 man tour to South Africa. They obviously want to sell.

Even with another couple of departures we would have no room in midfield to accommodate him.

I find it a bit odd Palace don't want him as a squad player but I think this would be a very good signing. We do have several midfielders but Faurlin can't be relied upon and Diakite, god knows if he'll be at Loftus Road, The Priory or a Somalian pirate dinghy by May. I see him essentially as a better, younger Karl Henry and it might mean someone like Doughty can be loaned out and guaranteed games at another Champ team.

The reality is yes we are overloaded with centre midfielders but are we (and the management) really expecting Leroy Fer and Sandro to be here come September 1st or whenever deadline day is.

With them two gone, our centre mids are Faurlin (injury concerns), Diakite (total liability), Henry (a non entity), Luongo (good) and Chery (good). Gladwin can play in the middle but more so out wide. Doughty I don't class as good enough, so really, it wouldn't be the worst signing.

Though I agree, this certainly isn't a priority.

EDIT*** he's 29...really?

QPR have been given permission by Crystal Palace to speak to Algerian midfielder Adlene Guedioura about a possible move to Loftus Road.

Guedioura, 29, has failed to make an impact at Palace, making only four league starts since being signed from Nottingham Forest in September 2013.

He has had two loan spells at Watford since that move and remains surplus to requirements at Selhurst Park.

He was left out of the squad for Palace’s pre-season trip to South Africa and has instead been training with the south London club’s development side.
