The Daily Arsenal

Discussion in 'The Premier League' started by Hoddle is a god, Jul 17, 2015.

  1. Adrian Durham has something on Talksport called "The Daily Arsenal" which he uses to spend 5 minutes each day informing the world what's going on at AFC. Most Gooners see it as nothing more than a slagging-off session, but Durham, himself, has been at pains to assert that that is definitely not the case.

I think we need the same thing on this board, especially as most Gooners seem to believe that AFC is going to be challenging for the title next season (no, don't laugh!).

So, please use this space, daily, to let us have any Arsenal-related news.

And let's try to keep this a wum-free site, eh.

I don't understand the Gooner hate for the daily arsenal on talk sport. I've always found it to be a very accurate fact filled segment and they should be pleased their club is getting such specific attention.

Like yourself HIAG, Adrian Durham is often wrongly dismissed as a WUM when in truth, it's just a quest for healthily debate.

  3. Arsenal full-back Hector Bellerin posted a video of an impressive swimming pool heading session with his team-mates but apologised for messing it up.

****ing up a training session is one thing, but telling the entire world about it is quite another! You'd think the bloke would want to hide himself away in shame!

We know that Wenger likes his players to be intelligent, so I am rather doubtful that this numpty is going to be getting much game-time!

  4. Yes, I can see that, now. Durham and I do appear to bear the same cross.

I see Arsene is surprised RVP has been allowed to leave United.

Arsenal are pretty light striker wise, could they have gone back in for RVP themselves? Surely a more realistic option than Benzema?

  7. I do hope not, as I want to keep this thread wum-free. I want it to be the Arsenal equivalent of my "Mouser Watch" thread (which has always been wum-free).

I don't know why people are getting excited about this. 9 out of 10 threads on here were started with the specific purpose of winding somebody up.

I enjoy the banter - so long as it remains banter. Once it starts drifting off into direct personal insults, that's just out of order. Once you start that, where does it stop??

  12. Indeed, NSS. On another thread, I've had a Gooner call me a very nasty name.

Is there any call for that?

  13. Arsenal's 65-year-old manager Arsene Wenger, who celebrates 19 years in charge in September, could be at the club for years to come, according to chief executive Ivan Gazidis.
    (BBC Football website "Gossip" page)

Woo-hoo! Wenger's gonna take them down!!!

  14. Meanwhile, Wenger says he is surprised Manchester United let former Arsenal striker Robin van Persie, 31, leave Old Trafford for Fenerbahce.
    (Source: Telegraph)

...and, yet, you didn't make a bid to get him back to Arsenal!
    <doh>

If he's too **** for Arsenal, why on Earth would United want him?

Well, if you know that, then why get agitated about it? He's not going to stop, and he's hardly the only one.

Pnp there is nothing wrong with my signature. It contains a quote from a former chairman of Spurs who I have met along with Terry Venables who I spent a very amusing evening with. Both live and love Spurs as u do and I do Arsenal.
The other part is links to websites that count when Spurs last won something and I do believe there was similar links to Arsenal during our barren period.

of all the Spurs fans on here there is only one that is a wum. The rest of you have humour and intelligence, and don't lower yourself to his level.

  20. Wow! Never saw G4E as the sort to breakdown over a little bit of banter!

    Shame.

Just goes to show that you never can tell who's going to fall.
