Personally, I don't think the big clubs should be spending big on English talents. You should be signing them when they're young (16ish) and developing them. Waiting for them to be established means you will pay a stupid price when you can get better across the continent.
20m for stones... Just another over pieces English player like Lallana, sterling etc etc. hes es real worth at the moment is probably 10m but when add in potential and English tax then 20m seems about right. Think hed he'd be silly to go to Chelsea this year, give it a year and terry will be hanging up his boots and Cahill will be another year older. Dont see see why they want stones now anyway, zooms looks some player and think he could be played at CB this season and fit in perfectly well. Looks a classy player
Reckon Benteke will be a good signing. If Chelsea or someone bought him we'd all be saying sound piece of business that, maybe a bit expensive but there's a definite possibility the expense will be justified Alright he's not the creme de la creme but I have a feeling he'll bang a few in once he's settled Plus hopefully him and Origi will develop a good understanding since they're both in the Belgian set-up and they know Ming too

I think team might have realised that possession football that we tried to play 1st year and a bit last year didn't work a very well. Suarez took us to a different level but it's difficult to get players that could replicate that kind of football. As such, maybe we are going down a slightly different route and having that big central striker to play off. Chelsea did it brilliantly with Drogba and even Costa last year. We'll be far more dangerous when the ball is out wide, something we haven't done in recent seasons but now have that option and adds variety to our play. Can switch it up a bit and play Ings/Origi if wanting more movement as well
Villa is making nearly 500% profit on Benteke. Bought for £7m sold for £32.2m. Good business. Villa has not allowed Benteke to do medical..meaning deal can still fall through.
Gomez not going on loan and will compete for first team place. Wonder what hat that means for Wisdom, you'd think Gomez would initially be competing for RB slot rather than CB which leaves Wisdom as possibly 3rd choice? Fact Gonez played Lb and apparently played well today bodes well as well, be nice if can provide cover for Moreno.
I agree. They will all be sat on the bench together for Belgium, so they can discuss lots and get friendly there.
