What's that got to do with the price of fish...? How many strikers Liverpool have or don't have is not of Sherwood's concern. If we had a hundred strikers and we wanted to buy Benteke it wouldn't matter. His only concern is about whether or not the keep the player we're targeting. Tim can be a weird ****er at times.

Finally. Finally it has happened. The moment all Liverpool supporters have been waiting for. Mateo Kovacic has spoken about the possibility of a move to Anfield. The Inter Milan playmaker has been perennially linked with the Reds, seemingly ever since time began. Liverpool’s £49million sale of Raheem Sterling has certainly bolstered the club’s coffers, and that was enough for Gazzetta dello Sport, the Italian newspaper, to quiz Kovacic on all these Reds rumours. The Croatia international was a bit reluctant to talk, but eventually opened up. A bit. Asked what happens if Liverpool turn up with a bid, Kovacic said: “They must ask the club. But the club has never said they want to sell me. Never.” Bad news for Reds fans, then. But it gets worse. Asked what he wants to do, he added: “Stay here. I do not move... the relationship between me and Inter will be long.” And asked if the sale of Sterling could mean a move for him, Kovacic said: “We have two different roles. That there have been no requests from the Reds, but it’s not for me it’s for my agent. Having said that, I repeat: I want to be here.” So, given the way these things work, expect a move to Anfield to be completed by the end of the week*. http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/liverpool-fc-transfer-rumours-kovacic-9659251

Speculation linking Christian Benteke with an Aston Villa exit went rampant on Wednesday following some suspicious Twitter activity, while the Red Devils' search for a centre-back recruit has led them to Fiorentina's Stefan Savic. The Daily Mail's Tom Bellwood reported Louis van Gaal's side are interested in a £32.5 million deal for the Belgium striker, leading Benteke to favourite a post regarding his potential link-up with Wayne Rooney: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...christian-benteke-stefan-savic-rumours-emerge

Has anyone heard any more about Gomez going on loan? Based on 45 minutes against nobodies I can confidently declare he should be playing for us in the EL and LC.
I've not. I would expect it to be done after preseason. Having seen him I would agree that he cannot be tossed into u21s and could easily go on loan to championship or play europa.
If he goes to Man U, so be it. This isn't one that we'd be disappointed to see go to a rival especially if he cost £32m, he just not wanted enough by the fans. The only problem is that if it drags on too long and we've put all our eggs in the Bekteke basket we're either going to have put up with the ****e we've got now, or nothing as they'll be sold or panic and buy another Carroll or Balotelli.
Is dying stages classified as any time during the 90 minutes in Manchester? Only excuse I can think of as to why hoofball to fellaini was employed from the off last season
