Medical failed by lombearts apparently

Ignoring the last day of the transfer window shenanigans, I don't think 2-3 weeks to complete a signing is that unusual. It's usually at least a 3-way deal, club-club-player and there are often other factors and agencies involved as well.
If this particular deal has fallen through, we still have plenty of time to go elsewhere, which is apparently what we are already doing.
We just need to show a little patience, trust the backroom team to do their jobs and hold off on any judgement until the window closes.
Just disappointing that we couldn't push this through before the pre season tour that's all mate, on a brighter note though it looks like Lens might get confirmed today he's been tweeting a picture of himself getting on a plane this morning.
Yeh, saw that. Another good deal done!
We're getting there mate. I've got more confidence in Old Eggnog's choice of player he wants to sign than I had in the last 3 or 4 managers, so I'm quietly optimistic.
Done????? Errrm....he might fail his medical?
These things happen. Senna Ba failed a few Medicals but was a decent player. It is more about insuring players but if something comes up in the medical, you cannot go ahead. You kind of prove my point here. The only source that appears to advise that negotiations are taking ages are the press. We don't know if it's taking longer than the Matthews deal did. You're making loads of assumptions with no true idea. The club don't deal in the press period.I'm talking about the speed that they operate at mate rather than how they communicate current transfer dealings, I totally agree that club are 100% right to keep quiet until players have signed.
However in this case the media seem pretty convinced (and have me convinced) that these are two of our top targets and both are likely to sign, and they've been reporting this for a couple of weeks now, personally I see it as a failure of the club not to get two potentially key first team signings over the line before the pre season trip, it being in the media for as long as it has I'd presume we've been in negotiations for these two for weeks now.

You're right mate I am making assumptions based on what the media have reported, that is the only source of information available to us fans with the club keeping everything transfer related in house. So this transfer rumours thread would be pretty quiet if we weren't speculating and making assumptions based on what comes out in the press.
In essence all transfer rumours are is wild speculation from people like us (and we all know just as little as the next guy with regard to our potential transfers )who are getting information from local, national and foreign press who are all more often than not wrong as they make most of it up so us fans visit their websites and buy their papers. But I supose it keeps us all interested for a couple of months over the summer
Good interview here with a reporter from the Fail who confirms the club as well as others of our level are very closed with them. So they're not getting their info from us and not likely the other teams. My guess is they get virtually everything from agents.

Have a pint in the Jigger Inn for me DD!!
SAFC or Everton smithy and I think he would opt for the latter as closer to home, been a better team over the last few seasons. Your right tho wouldn't mind him here if we can get him.
