Alderweireld was never poor for Atletico, they just have better defenders.

It is so hard to judge how good some players are if they are playing for good sides I think, to stand out for these teams you have to be exceptional. The fact that Suarez was playing pretty regularly at a team like Atletico shows that he is a good player who would most likely be better than the majority of other current options..

It all depends who else we are in for. I would rather us sign Praet. Suarez has been great for AM until last season where he went missing in a lot of games. We need to check whether his drop in form is long or short term which I am sure we will.

Mario Suarez and Praet aren't similar players so can't really compare. Suarez is primarly a defensive midfielder while Praet is more of a #10. Perhaps we are in for both?

I wasn't comparing, I would just prefer Praet is all. We are getting Clasie and one more cm, there would be no point in buying another.

He turned into a card machine, as well...all of last season he seemed to be constantly on the verge of getting his marching orders. Per minute, he picked up yellows at double that of Wanyama in the league, as a benchmark.

Yep he was bad season. Nothing went for him and it got to him in the end. Hence the cards.

He played in their last game on 24/05/2015, and didn't get sent off........unless he got sent off in his last Europe game I don't know.
