A lot of people (few on here, few on saints web) seem to be really keen to get Van Dijk in as the CB. What's the attraction? Is it because he seems to be the only CB linked with us at the moment?!
I really like him. Quite similar to Schneiderlin. The one thing about Schneiderlin that is tough to replace is that he has pretty good height and physical presence for a semi-playmaking midfielder. Clasie is just not going to match him there. But of course we have the ultimate tank back in Wanyama. And I think what Clasie lacks in the defensive/grit part of the game, he can make up for by being a little more of a technical/creative player. I would say Clasie kinda grades out as a cross between Cork and JWP. I just wish he was a couple inches taller, but you can work around that.
We could probably get him some lifts. Not that he wouldn't be awesomely sexy in stilettos but probably not as easy to kick the ball.
Pay good money to see Wanyama in them.Maybe the whole team should wear them
