You laugh, but I can absolutely guarantee you that that is the kind of price-tag that Levy is going to be slapping on Kane's head if (a) Kane has another season like last season, and (b) any club decides to come sniffing around for our most promising striker since Berbatov.
If he has another 30 goal season, yes his value will rise dramatically. He would still be only 22 and would have shown that he wasn't just a one season wonder. Strikers sell for a premium too!... Levy would certainly not want to sell, and yes, I could imagine some stratospheric value being placed on him to deter moneybags Utd, et al...
Kane is priceless to Spurs. A local Spurs fan at his age who has come into the team and scored that many goals...that is once in a generation stuff, if that, especially if he keeps it up. Given that the stadium project is definitely not going to be financed by running a transfer budget surplus, and that we are likely to finish the summer with little or no net spend regardless of Kane's sale or lack thereof anyway, there is literally no excuse for selling Kane. I don't think we'd even slap a price tag on his head if asked, we'd just put the phone down.
Well, it's telling that the only ones talking about United making a bid for Kane is the gutter press. I rather suspect that the Glaziers know, full well, that Levy will tell them **** right off!
Liverpool's youngest ever senior player has seen the writing on the wall and decided to leave. Jerome Sinclair, an 18-year-old striker, has decided that the club are taking the piss out of him and it's time to do a runner. You can see his point. Being behind Lambert, Balotelli, Borini and The Worst Striker in France™ in the pecking order must be a little galling.
I'll leave that one for our resident Scousers to answer, I think. He was probably very good last week, but rather **** now that he's decided to leave...
Sinclair is a really strange one. He tweeted along the lines of 'not everything works out time for a new challenge' and favourited a tweet from presumably a friend along the lines of 'LFC weren't giving you the support you deserve' Apparently he's coming into the last year of his contract so his sudden unease may be with his first proper contract not being what he expected... I imagine we're doing all sorts of buy out clauses now - having learned from Suarez and now Sterling - considering the amount of talent in our youth system. SInclair himself... appears pretty damn talented but in a tough position to get a break in... and we have 3/4 equally exciting youth players breaking through - who are on the tour!
Not seen Sinclair play much. He gets a lot of praise from those that watch our u21s. All I know is he hasn't really featured for the first team much, and he's 18.
I think that's probably why he wants to go. Does well for the U21s, yet doesn't get a shot in the senior team. That's one of our recent big positives, in my opinion. Kane, Mason, Bentaleb and Townsend give the academy players something to aim for. We've started to become a club that rewards hard work by it's youth players and it's paying dividends.

To be fair, there's several years worth of evidence that Rodgers doesn't know what he's talking about either.
