So I've just been reading up on some of the news from Belfast over the past few days and was quite shocked to read that a politican was criticising the police for using water cannons prematurely.

Exactly when did he think it would be a fitting time to roll in and wash the scum off the streets?

What a stupid comment to make. The police are getting attacked with fireworks, breaks and petrol bombs and this guy is complaining because they used water cannons prematurely.

<doh>

Nicely put, have yourself a rep. Incidentally who was the politician? They are quick to condemn the attacks on the emergency services everytime they go on a callout but when the police respond appropriately it is excessive <doh>

Very few people give a ****.

To be entirely fair, the police officers involved were probably too busy selling phone numbers, medical records and bank details of minor celebrities or even potential rioters to the national press to worry about something as trivial as crowd control.

I wonder what way this thread will pan out. Do you not get bored of this Medro?

Yes, they were wrong, they should've used napalm.

Mind you, probably the first shower most of them have had for a good while.
