I agree. But I feel it mainly lacks in quality depth. Henderson Can Milner = Solid, efficient and well balance Allen Lucas = A - One of the above playing Thursday Sunday atleast until November, and little attackng options.
Jury well and truly out on Can - for me anyway, far too soon too think he can just be a starter for us and be a top 4 level midfielder. Henderson needs to up his consistency levels, especially as he's now going to be playing every game. Milner I'm pleased with. As for Allen and Lucas, well they're EL padding at best
Yeah I dont know what midfield to expect. As long as neither Henderson or Milner are stuck in the holding role... We may still see Illaramendi or some one similar join yet.
Didn't Carra big up Lovren ... He's not wrong though - we are awful in the transfer market. Without this getting into another Brits vs foreigners argument, our worst transfers appear to be under British managers. Roy, Kenny and Rodgers.
I disagree. Dalglish signed Suarez and Henderson. Roy had very little to spend but bought Mereiles. Rodgers signed Coutinho and Sturridge. Houllier signed Diouf, Le Tallec and Cheyrou. Benitez signed Morientes, Voronin, Keane, Jovanovic, Dossena and Josemi. All managers are hot and miss with transfers.
Lets see who made the worst signing out of all of them. I'd say each managers worst signings are: Houllier - Diouf Benitez - Keane Hodgson - Konchesky Dalglish - Carroll Rodgers - Lovren Diouf was he worst, But £35m for Carroll?
