Is this factual? Not according to the this site http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/players/profile.html/christian-benteke And what is wrong with his goals being headers? They all count and i'd rather have a variation of ways to score goals rather than 2013/14 where Chelsea blocked our one way of playing and that was the end of our title challenge.
I was just doing some googling and found this headline cut off funny: Christian Benteke beats Romelu Lukaku to D ... - Daily Mail
Include the EL for lukaku is harsh as benteke didn't play it... do do a like for like comparison for me of league, FA cup and league cup as those are only 3 comps both played in
How is it harsh? He scored 20 goals last season, that's all that needs to be said. The assertion that Benteke was 'miles better' is therefore a bitter rambling. Benteke is a good striker, I've never said anything other, he scores goals, but I don't think his all round game is as good as Lukaku, and Lukaku is still a way off his prime, as he's only just turned 22.
Dunno.... probably but i'd rather have top top player but LFc are not there. In an ideal world Carvalho and Lacazette would turn up this week but we are not cheslea so thats not happening. FFS we are not city who tried for delph and bloody sterling!!! all in all if illaramende is any good fine. I dunno. Benteke can finish chances 100% so yeah go on!
No but he had a signifcant injury which he managed to come back from and still outscore and outplay Lukaku
Liverpool striking prospect Jerome Sinclair is in dispute with the club over a new contract. The 18-year-old has around a year left on his current deal and the ECHO understands the player and club remain well apart on terms on a new deal. Sinclair published a cryptic tweet on Friday suggesting all was not well with his Liverpool career and he was then not named among eight Academy players selected to go on the tour of the Far East and Australia with Brendan Rodgers’ first team. Sinclair tweeted: “Sometimes things just aren’t meant to be! Exciting times though! New chapter pending, Can’t wait to see where this year takes me.” That caused some fans to fear for his Reds’ future though it seemed to be explained on Saturday when the Liverpool tour party was announced and Sinclair was omitted. Rumours of a loan move to Burnley have as yet also failed to materialise. He has instead travelled to Dublin with Michael Beale’s U21 team who play two games this coming Friday and Sunday. A report this morning suggested Sinclair has asked to leave the club though the ECHO understands further talks are likely to be held. Sinclair became Liverpool’s youngest-ever player at 16 years and six days when coming on as substitute against his West Brom – from whom he joined the Reds – in League Cup in September 2012, beating the record easily set by Jack Robinson. Injury disrupted his progress but he came on strong again for the U21s last season as they finished second in the Premier League, while he enjoyed extra training sessions with Robbie Fowler to improve his finishing. Sinclair followed fellow youth player Sheyi Ojo to Wigan on loan in March but failed to secure much first team time as the Latics fought a vain battle against relegation. He continued to look a threat for the U21s and made his Premier League debut against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in March. He also came off the bench against Crystal Palace in Steven Gerrard’s last game at Anfield.
Could be wrong - will have to dig it up. And the reason I discount it is because how many crosses do we put in? Which of our players can actually put in a decent cross? The point is - he will struggle unless we adapt to his style of play.
if theres nobody in there theres no point crossing it. our full backs throw it in all the time.. nobody in there to connect.
one thing that i have a very strong view on is giving and kid a loan to a club without having him on a long deal. He should sign first then go out on loan.. let him rot IMO if he won't sign. It'll simply be like nathan eccelston. the money they start after getting a shot on a bench talking big and wanting moeny then you know they have the wrong attitude. what i want to know is why the **** rodgers put him on a bench at the end of season without a new contract signed. Thats basic mismanagement IMO.
And then compare them against the same teams, defences and keepers (with the same players assisting them), got to make it a fair comparison
and when you are done all that got hit your head off a wall cos your opinion makes no difference to those buying him
