They could maybe step a bracket down and look at someone like Clasie who is reported to be available for 8-10m. Good player too, probably not as well equipped as Gini for the PL, or as good, but a very impressive playmaker nonetheless. Roma and Southampton are interested though supposedly. I think Koeman has moreorless said if Man U sign Morgan S, then Clasie will be the target.

We will soon see mate <ok>

Some midfield Van Gaal is putting together I have to say! I assume you will sign a striker at some stage. I see you are still being linked with Otamendi. The defence looks sorted, the midfield too. Should be a hell of a battle for the title this season.

It's taking shape mate, it's what we missed last season a bit of depth to the squad. Not sure whether Januzaj will get much game time this season, we have another young kid Pereira coming through as well who should be going out on loan this season to a decent team hopefully. Fellaini will be kept on, he's Falcao's replacement up front I'd imagine, LVG prefers him in a much more advanced role.

Not sure about Otamendi, think he'll end up at Real Madrid when we take Ramos off them in the De Gea deal. Saying that, I'd prefer Otamendi and to keep De Gea and let his contract run down.

Adidas' deal kicks in 1st August, logic points to a marquee signing happening then.

Yeah forgot about Ramos. Exactly what you need as an old head to help the likes of Smalling, Jones. Obviously you have Rojo too. Shame to lose De Gea mind, I think that would be a massive loss. I know some will say keepers are replaceable and you have Valdes etc, but I think De Gea is a bit different. He is like your great dane or Courtois or Cech when he first arrived, the kind that make a real difference. I think there will be a lot of clubs interested in Pereira and Januzaj. Taking them a pair would be best for you. If they are both getting game time in the same side it could really help.

I think Eddie Howe and his technical style of coaching could work wonders for them.

Do you not think we are getting ahead of ourselves here?
I do consider us better than Sunderland (derbies aside) but to suggest we are on a different level after one big money signing could come back and bite us in the arse

Try thinking about it again, this time with your tongue in your cheek :)

They have been linked with a very good player in Lens. Good pedigree. I wonder if someone will make a move for that Quincy Promes, now there is an exciting dutch talent.

I think lens will do relatively well for them, but the rest of their team is low quality. I think he will struggle as a result. He's fast, but there is a reason he only cost 9m at the age of 27...

Sunderland wont sign sh!t, to say they didnt want him is class, Top player in the dutch league last year, captain of the champions and a bucket load of goals, Its like if we signed messi (hypothetically Speaking) and mackems saying, well we didnt want him, his too short and doesnt fit in with our style of play!

don't be ****ing daft, not so long ago, we signed one of the best players in the dutch league, a real goal scoring machine..Jozy Antiscore..

that went well.....not.

Simply quoting facts, do you have any to disprove them , Sorry to say but it is almost an impossibility that you will ever see Newcastle overtake SUNDERLAND in their quest to win premier league titles in your lifetime

Okay, Fact 1. Sunderland have never won the Premier League nor have they ever been Runners Up whereas NUFC have been Runners Up.

:1980_boogie_down:

And please don't come back with we won the First Division back in...etc as this is a different League run by different people.

Fact 2. I would refer you to NUFC having won a European Trophy, namely the Inter Cities Fairs Cup. Have Sunderland ever won a real European Trophy?

No, neither have you!<laugh> It was invitational to cities with trade fairs until the season after you won it. After that season you had finish runner up to qualify then they quickly turned it into the Uafa cup. You won a competition London XI finished runner up in one season. To add, you finished tenth in the league the season you got in. <laugh><doh>
